Rough-terrain trucks - Visibility test methods and their verification - Part 2: Slewing rough-terrain variable-reach trucks (ISO 18063-2:2021)

This document applies to slewing rough-terrain variable-reach trucks (hereinafter referred to as trucks) as defined in ISO 5053-1:2020, 3.22, that have a specific seated operator’s position, on the left-hand side of the boom, or centre position (excluding operator position on the right side of the boom).
This document specifies a static test method for determining and evaluating the operator’s visibility on a rectangular boundary close around the truck and on a 12 m visibility test circle. Performance requirements for visibility are specified in this document. A calculation method or computer simulation can also be used.
This document does not provide performance requirements for the additional means for indirect visibility.
This document also covers information to be provided by the manufacturer.

Dieses Dokument gilt für geländegängige schwenkbare Stapler mit veränderlicher Reichweite (im Folgenden als „Stapler“ bezeichnet) im Sinne von ISO 5053 1:2020, 3.22, die eine spezifische Sitzposition des Bedieners auf der linken Seite des Auslegers oder eine mittlere Position aufweisen (mit Ausnahme der Bedienerposition auf der rechten Seite des Auslegers).
Dieses Dokument legt ein statisches Prüfverfahren zum Bestimmen und Bewerten der Sichtverhältnisse des Bedieners auf einer rechtwinkeligen Grenze in der Nähe des Staplers und auf einem 12 m breiten Sichtprüfkreis fest. Die Leistungsanforderungen an die Sichtverhältnisse sind in diesem Dokument festgelegt. Ein Berechnungsverfahren oder eine Computersimulation können ebenfalls verwendet werden.
Dieses Dokument legt keine Leistungsanforderungen an die zusätzlichen Hilfsmittel für indirekte Sicht fest.

Le présent document s'applique aux chariots tout-terrain rotatifs à portée variable (ci-après désignés «chariots») tels que définis dans l'ISO 5053-1:2020, 3.22, qui ont une position assise spécifique du conducteur, sur le côté gauche de la flèche ou une position au centre (à l'exclusion de la position du conducteur sur le côté droit de la flèche).
Le présent document spécifie une méthode d'essai statique pour la détermination et l'évaluation de la visibilité du conducteur dans une délimitation rectangulaire serrée autour du chariot et sur un cercle d'essai de visibilité de 12 m. Les exigences de performance pour la visibilité sont spécifiées dans le présent document. Une méthode de calcul ou une simulation numérique peut également être utilisée.

This European Standard has been prepared under a Commission’s standardization request “M/396 to
CEN and CENELEC for standardisation in field of machinery” to provide one voluntary means of
conforming to Essential requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the
Council of 17 May 2016 on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast).
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive,
