Machines for underground mines - Mobile machines working underground - Safety - Part 1: Rubber tyred vehicles
1.1 This European Standard specifies the safety requirements and tests for self-propelled rubber tyred vehicles as defined in 3.1 intended primarily for use in underground mining (i.e. as mine vehicles) and other underground workings (e.g. as tunnelling vehicles). The electrical supply voltage is limited to 1100 A.C. and 1500 D.C.
1.2 This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events, applying to self-propelled, rubber-tyred vehicles, subject to being used according to their intended purpose and prevailing manufacturer’s conditions and within the scope of foreseeable misuse. This European Standard describes appropriate action to be taken to avoid or minimize the risk of significant hazards.
1.3 This European Standard does not include rubber tyred drilling rigs, which are covered by EN 791, or earth-moving machinery not intended primarily for use in underground mines, which are covered by EN 474 (all parts). This European Standard does not take account of specific hazards associated with special-purpose vehicles, e.g. tankers, explosives vehicles.
This standard does not cover the use and operation of rubber-tyred vehicles being remotely controlled or operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.
1.4 This European Standard applies to vehicles which are manufactured after the date of issue of this standard.
1.5 This European standard does not consider the use of vehicles in explosive atmosphere.

1.1 Diese Europäische Norm legt Sicherheitsanforderungen und Prüfungen für selbstfahrende gummibereifte Gleislosfahrzeuge wie in 3.1 definiert fest, die vorrangig zur Verwendung im Bergbau unter Tage (d. h. als Bergbaufahrzeuge) und andere Arbeiten unter Tage (z. B. als Fahrzeuge für den Tunnelbau) bestimmt sind. Die Netzspannung ist auf 1100 V Wechselstrom und 1500 V Gleichstrom begrenzt.
1.2 Diese Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungs-ereignisse, die auf selbstfahrende gummibereifte Gleislosfahrzeuge zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Herstellers und im Rahmen vorhersehbarer Fehlbedienung verwendet werden. Diese Norm beschreibt die entsprechenden Maßnahmen zur Beseitigung oder Verminderung der Risiken, die von den signifikanten Gefährdungen ausgehen.
1.3 Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für gummibereifte Bohrgeräte, die in EN 791 behandelt werden, oder Erdbaumaschinen, die nicht vorrangig zur Verwendung im Bergbau unter Tage bestimmt sind und in den Normen der Reihe EN 474 (alle Teile) behandelt werden. Diese Europäische Norm berücksichtigt nicht besondere Gefährdungen durch Spezialfahrzeuge, z. B. Tankfahrzeuge und Sprengfahrzeuge.
Diese Norm behandelt nicht den Betrieb von gummibereiften Gleislosfahrzeugen, die ferngesteuert sind oder den Betrieb in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen
1.4 Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Fahrzeuge, die nach Inkrafttreten dieser Norm hergestellt werden.

1.1 La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les essais des véhicules
automoteurs sur roues équipés de pneumatiques tels que définis en 3.1, destinés principalement à une
utilisation dans des mines souterraines (c'est-à-dire véhicules de mines) et à d'autres travaux de fond (par
exemple tunneliers). La tension d'alimentation électrique est limitée à 1 100 CA et 1 500 CC.
1.2 La présente Norme européenne traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs, situations
dangereuses et évènements dangereux applicables aux véhicules automoteurs sur roues équipés de
pneumatiques lorsque ceux-ci sont utilisés normalement conformément à l’utilisation prévue et aux conditions
actuelles définies par le constructeur mais aussi dans des mauvaises conditions d’utilisation raisonnablement
prévisibles par le constructeur. La présente Norme européenne décrit les actions appropriées à prendre pour
éviter ou réduire le risque de phénomènes dangereux significatifs.
1.3 La présente Norme européenne ne couvre pas les appareils de forage sur roues équipés de
pneumatiques, couverts par l'EN 791, ou les engins de terrassement qui ne sont pas principalement destinés
à une utilisation dans des mines souterraines, et qui sont couverts par la série de normes EN 474. La
présente Norme européenne ne tient pas compte des phénomènes dangereux spécifiques associés aux
véhicules à usage particulier, par exemple les véhicules citernes et de transport d'explosifs.
La présente Norme ne couvre pas l'utilisation et l'exploitation de véhicules sur roues équipés de
pneumatiques commandés à distance ou l'exploitation dans des atmosphères potentiellement explosibles.
1.4 La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux véhicules fabriqués après sa date de publication.

Ta evropski standard določa varnostne zahteve in preskuse za samognana vozila z gumijastimi kolesi, kot je opredeljeno v 3.1, primerna predvsem za uporabo v podzemnih rudnikih (tj. kot rudniška vozila) in druga podzemna dela (npr. kot vozila za izdelavo tunelov). Napajalna električna napetost je omejena na 1100 A.C. in 1500 D.C. Ta evropski standard obravnava vse velike nevarnosti, nevarne situacije in primere, ki se nanašajo na samognana vozila z gumijastimi kolesi, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z namembnostjo in pod pogoji proizvajalca ter v okviru predvidljive napačne uporabe.
