Respiratory protective devices - Light duty construction compressed air line breathing apparatus incorporating a helmet or a hood - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for light duty construction compressed air line breathing apparatus incorporating a helmet or a hood which is intended for use in gaseous, particulate or combined contaminated atmospheres. Such equipment is intended for use in work situations where the risk of damage to the compressed air supply tube is low. Escape and diving apparatus, and apparatus used in abrasive blasting operations are not included. Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an Druckluft- Schlauchgeräte für leichte Einsätze mit Helm oder Haube fest, die fu(r den Einsatz in Atmosphären vorgesehen sind, die durch Gase, Partikeln oder beides verunreinigt sind. Derartige Ausrüstung ist für den Einsatz bei Arbeits- bedingungen vorgesehen, bei denen die Gefahr einer Bescha(digung des Druckluft- Zufu(hrungsschlauches gering ist. Flucht- und Tauchgera(te sowie Gera(te, die bei Strahlarbeiten eingesetzt werden, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales des appareils respiratoires isolants à adduction d'air comprimé de construction légère, avec casque ou cagoule qui sont destinés à une utilisation en atmosphère contaminée par des gaz, des particules ou les deux. De tels équipements sont destinés à être utilisés dans des situations de travail o$ le risque de dététioration du tube d'alimentation en air comprimé est faible. Les appareils destinés ` l'évacuation, ` la plongée et ceux utilisés dans les opérations de projection d'abrasifs ne sont pas couverts.
