ISO 8502-3:2017 describes a method for the assessment of dust remaining on cleaned steel surfaces prepared for painting. It provides pictorial ratings for the assessment of the average quantity of dust. It also provides descriptive classes for the assessment of the average size of the dust particles.
The method described is a qualitative test useful for a steel surface, before cleaning, corresponding to rust grade A, B or C as defined in ISO 8501‑1. It can be used as a "pass/fail" test or to provide a permanent record of the dust present on a surface.

1.1 Dieser Teil von ISO 8502 beschreibt ein Verfahren zum Beurteilen von Staub auf gereinigten Stahloberflächen, die zum Beschichten vorbereitet sind. Er enthält Bilder für die Bewertung der durchschnittlichen Staubmenge und Beschreibungen für die Bewertung der durchschnittlichen Partikelgröße des Staubes.
ANMERKUNG 1 Die Mengen- und Größenbewertungen in diesem Teil von ISO 8502 sind aus ISO 4628 1, Paints and varnishes - Evaluation of degradation of coatings - Designation of quantity and size of defects, and of intensity of uniform changes in appearance - Part 1: General introduction and designation system abgeleitet.
1.2 Das Verfahren kann durchgeführt werden
entweder
a) als "ja/nein"-Prüfung durch Bewerten der Staubmenge auf einer Prüffläche und der durchschnittlichen Partikelgröße des Staubes, im Vergleich mit bestimmten Grenzwerten;
oder
b) auf einer Oberfläche vorhandenen Staub zu dokumentieren, indem die für die Prüfung benutzten Klebebänder auf Kacheln, Karton oder Papier von geeigneter Kontrastfarbe aufgeklebt werden.
1.3 Das Verfahren eignet sich zum Beurteilen von Staub, der nach der Reinigung auf einer Stahloberfläche zurückbleibt, die vor dem Reinigen Rostgrad A, B oder C nach ISO 8501-1 hatte. Wegen seiner begrenzten Verformbarkeit kann das Klebeband nicht in die Vertiefungen einer gereinigten Stahloberfläche eindringen, die ursprünglich Rostgrad D hatte.
1.4 Obwohl ein Prüfverfahren subjektiv ist, bei dem mit dem Daumen auf ein Band gedrückt wird, reicht dieses Verfahren meistens aus, insbesondere, wenn staubfreie Oberflächen gefordert werden. In Streitfällen, ausgenommen bei einem ursprünglichen Rostgrad C oder D, kann das Klebeband mit einer durch Federkraft belasteten Walze angedrückt werden.

ISO 8502-3:2017 décrit une méthode d'évaluation de la poussière restant sur des surfaces d'acier nettoyées préparées pour la mise en peinture. Elle fournit des caractéristiques illustrées pour l'évaluation de la quantité moyenne de poussière. Elle fournit également des catégories descriptives pour l'évaluation de la dimension moyenne des particules de poussière.

Ta del standarda ISO 8502 opisuje metodo za oceno količine prahu, preostale na očiščenih jeklenih površinah, pripravljenih za barvanje. Določa slikovne stopnje za oceno povprečne količine prahu. Določa tudi opisne razrede za oceno povprečne velikosti delcev prahu.
Opisana metoda je kvalitativni preskus, uporaben za jeklene površine pred čiščenjem, ki ustreza
