ISO 11806-1:2011 gives safety requirements and measures for their verification for the design and construction of portable hand-held, powered brush-cutters and grass-trimmers (hereafter called machines) having an integral combustion engine as their power unit and mechanical power transmission between the power source and the cutting attachment. Methods for the elimination or reduction of hazards arising from the use of these machines and the type of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer are specified.
ISO 11806-1:2011 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events relevant to these machines, as well as when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
ISO 11806-1:2011 is not applicable to machines equipped with metallic cutting attachments consisting of more than one piece, e.g. pivoting chains or flail blades.
ISO 11806-1:2011 is applicable to portable, hand-held, powered brush-cutters and grass-trimmers manufactured after its date of publication.

Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Maßnahmen zu deren Überprüfung für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion von tragbaren, handgehaltenen motorbetriebenen Freischneidern und Grastrimmern (im Folgenden Maschinen genannt), mit eingebautem Verbrennungsmotor als Antriebseinheit und mechanischer Kraftübertragung zwischen Antriebsquelle und Schneidgarnitur fest. Methoden zur Vermeidung oder Verminderung der sich aus dem Gebrauch ergebenden Gefährdungen dieser Maschinen sowie Informationen über sicheres Arbeiten, die vom Hersteller zur Verfügung zu stellen sind, werden festgelegt. Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die für diese Maschinen relevant sind, sofern sie zu dem vorgesehenen Zweck und bei vernünftigerweise durch den Hersteller vorhersehbarem Missbrauch eingesetzt werden. Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 gilt nicht für Maschinen, die mit mehrteiligen, metallischen Schneidwerkzeugen, z. B. schwenkbaren Ketten oder Schlegelmessern, ausgestattet sind. ANMERKUNG Siehe Anhang D zur Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen. Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 gilt für tragbare handgehaltene motorbetriebene Freischneider und Grastrimmer, die nach dem Veröffentlichungsdatum dieser Norm hergestellt wurden.

L'ISO 11806-1:2011 spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les mesures pour leur vérification, pour la conception et la construction des débroussailleuses et des coupe-herbe portatifs à moteur, tenus à la main, équipés d'un moteur à combustion interne intégré comme source motrice et d'une transmission mécanique de puissance entre la source motrice et le dispositif de coupe (appelées «machines» dans la suite du texte). Elle spécifie également des méthodes pour éliminer ou réduire les phénomènes dangereux inhérents à l'utilisation de ces machines, ainsi que le type d'informations sur les pratiques d'utilisation sûres à fournir par le fabricant.
L'ISO 11806-1:2011 traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs, situations dangereuses ou événements dangereux pertinents pour ces machines, lorsqu'elles sont utilisées comme prévu et dans des conditions de mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisibles par le fabricant.
L'ISO 11806-1:2011 n'est pas applicable aux machines équipées de dispositifs de coupe métallique composés de plus d'une pièce, par exemple des chaînes articulées ou des lames articulées.
L'ISO 11806-1:2011 est applicable aux machines fabriquées après sa date de publication.

Ta del standarda ISO 11806 določa varnostne zahteve in ukrepe za njihovo preverjanje za zasnovo in konstrukcijo prenosnih, ročno vodenih kosilnic s prosto rezjo, opremljenih z rezilno ploščo ali kosilno nitko (v nadaljevanju: »stroji«), ki imajo motorje z notranjim izgorevanjem in mehanski prenos napajanja med virom napajanja in nastavkom za rezanje.
