Reciprocating positive displacement pumps and pump units - Technical requirements (ISO 16330:2003)

ISO 16330:2003 specifies the technical requirements, other than safety and testing, for reciprocating positive displacement pumps and pump units. It applies to pumps which utilize reciprocating motion derived from crankshafts and camshafts and also direct-acting fluid driven pumps. It does not apply to reciprocating positive displacement pumps, nor pumping water, where the whole pump is lubricated with the liquid being pumped.

Oszilierende Verdrängerpumpen - Technische Anforderungen (ISO 16330:2003)

Diese Europäische Norm legt die technischen Anforderungen - ausgenommen jene für die Sicherheit und für Prüfungen - fest für oszillierende Verdrängerpumpen und -pumpenaggregate. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Pumpen, die eine oszillierende Bewegung aufgrund Kurbel- und Nockenwellenbewegungen ausführen, und sie gilt ebenfalls für direkt wirkende, durch ein Fluid angetriebene Pumpen. Diese Norm gilt nicht für oszillierende Verdrängerpumpen in der hydraulischen Fluidtechnik.

Pompes volumétriques à mouvement alternatif - Prescriptions techniques (ISO 16330:2003)

L'ISO 16330:2003 spécifie les prescriptions techniques, autres que la sécurité et les essais, pour les pompes et groupes motopompes volumétriques à mouvement alternatif. La présente norme s'applique aux pompes à mouvement alternatif issu de vilebrequins et arbres à came ainsi qu'aux pompes pour liquides à action directe. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux pompes volumétriques à mouvement alternatif, ne pompant pas de l'eau, lorsque l'ensemble de la pompe est lubrifié par le liquide à pomper.

Foreword
The document (EN ISO 16330:2003) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 197
"Pumps", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR, in collaboration with Technical Committee
ISO/TC 115 "Pumps".
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2003, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2003.
The annexes A, C and D are informative. Annex B is normative.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,

Introduction
This European Standard is applicable to both direct-acting and power pump types. It is applicable to
series production pumps or pump units, limited production pumps or pump units and custom
production pumps and pump units. It specifies all the technical requirements for reciprocating positive
displacement pumps and reciprocating positive displacement pump units with the exception of safety
and testing. Safety and testing of positive displacement pumps and reciprocating positive
displacement pump units are specified in the following European Standards:
EN 809 Pumps and pump units - Common safety requirements.
