Small craft - Hull construction and scantlings - Part 1: Materials: Thermosetting resins, glass-fibre reinforcement, reference laminate (ISO 12215-1:2000)

This part of ISO 12215 is applicable to thermosetting resins and glass-fibre reinforcement used in the construction of
small craft with a length of the hull of up to , in accordance with ISO 8666. This part of ISO 12215 specifies
the minimum requirements for material properties of glass reinforcement and resin matrix and the reference laminate
made thereof.
This part of ISO 12215 may be applicable to materials other than those specified, provided that the minimum requirements
and properties of the reference laminate are met.
NOTE The underlying reason for preparing this International Standard is to harmonize existing standards and recommended
practices for loads on the hull and the dimensioning of small craft because they differ too considerably and thus limit general
worldwide acceptability of boats.

La présente partie de l'ISO 12215 s'applique aux résines thermodurcissables et aux renforcements de fibres de verre utilisés pour la construction des petits navires de longueur de coque (LH) allant jusqu'à 24 m, conformément à l'ISO 8666. Elle spécifie les exigences minimales concernant les propriétés des produits à base de fibre de verre, des matrices de résine et des stratifiés de référence élaborés à partir de ces produits.  La présente partie de l'ISO 12215 peut être appliquée à d'autres produits, sous réserve que les exigences minimales et les propriétés du stratifié de référence soient respectées.  
NOTE La présente Norme internationale a été élaborée en vue d'harmoniser les normes et pratiques recommandées existantes, relatives aux charges exercées sur la coque et au dimensionnement des petits navires, qui présentent des différences considérables, d'où une limitation de la conformité générale des navires à l'échelle mondiale.

Ta del standarda ISO 12215 se uporablja za toplotno obdelane smole in ojačitev s steklenimi vlakni, ki se uporabljajo pri izdelavi malih plovil z dolžino trupa do X m v skladu s standardom ISO 8666. Ta del standarda ISO 12215 določa minimalne zahteve za lastnosti materialov pri matrici ojačitve s steklenimi vlakni in smolo ter referenčnega laminata, izdelanega iz njih.
Ta del ISO 12215 se lahko uporablja tudi za druge materiale pod pogojem, da so izpolnjene minimalne zahteve in lastnosti referenčnega laminata.
OPOMBA: Osnovni razlog za pripravo tega mednarodnega standarda je uskladitev obstoječih standardov in priporočenih postopkov v zvezi z obremenitvami trupa ter dimenzioniranjem malih plovil, ker se preveč razlikujejo in tako omejujejo splošno sprejemljivost čolnov po vsem svetu.

The text of ISO 12215-1:2000 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 188 "Small craft” of
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 12215-
1:2018 by Technical Committee CEN/SS T01 “Shipbuilding and maritime structures” the secretariat of
which is held by CCMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 12215-1:2000.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
