Liquid pumps - Safety requirements - Procedure for hydrostatic testing

This standard specifies the hydrostatic test procedure to be applied to pressure containing parts of all types of liquid pumps including any auxiliary equipment making up a pump unit as described in the scope of EN 809:1998, except :
-   domestic water pumps within the scope of EN 60335-2-41:1996 or EN 60335-2-51:1997 ;
-   domestic circulation pumps within the scope of EN 1151:1999 ;
-   submersible pumps within the scope of prEN 13386:1998 ;
-   fire-fighting pumps with primers within the scope of prEN 1028-1:1993 and prEN 1028-2:1993 ;
-   pump parts with a maximum allowable working pressure below 0.1 bar.
Requirements are included for applying a hydrostatic test at different pressures to separate zones within a pump which are subject to different allowable maximum working pressures.
This standard is for pumps and pump units which are placed upon the market after the publication date of the standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die hydrostatische Prüfung fest, die für druckbeaufschlagte Bauteile aller Bauarten von Flüssigkeitspumpen, einschließlich jeglicher Hilfseinrichtungen, die zu einem Pumpenaggregat gehören, wie dies im Anwendungsbereich von EN 809:1998 beschrieben ist, anzuwenden ist. Ausgenommen sind:
-   Wasserpumpen für den Hausgebrauch innerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches von EN 60335-2-41:1996 oder EN 60335-2-51:1997;
-   Heizungsumwälzpumpen für den Hausgebrauch innerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches von EN 1151:1999;
-   Feuerwehrpumpen mit Entlüftungseinrichtungen innerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches der EN 1028 1:2002+A1:2008 und EN 1028-2:2002+A1:2008;
-   Pumpenbauteile mit einem zulässigen Betriebsüberdruck kleiner 0,1 bar.
Inbegriffen sind Anforderungen für das Aufbringen unterschiedlicher hydrostatischer Prüfdrücke für Bereiche innerhalb einer Pumpe, die unterschiedlichen, maximal zulässigen Betriebsdrücken ausgesetzt sind.
Diese Norm gilt für Pumpen und Pumpenaggregate, die nach der Veröffentlichung dieser Norm im Markt eingeführt werden.

La présente norme spécifie les essais hydrostatiques devant être appliqués aux parties sous pression de tous
les types de pompes pour liquides soumises à une pression interne, y compris tout équipement auxiliaire constituant
une unité de pompe telle que décrite dans le domaine d'application de l’EN 809:1998, à l'exception :
— des pompes pour l'eau à usage domestique du domaine d'application des EN 60335-2-41:1996 et
EN 60335-2-51:1997 ;
— des pompes de circulation domestiques du domaine d'application de l'EN 1151:1999 ;

— des pompes à usage incendie avec dispositif d’amorçage du domaine d’application des

— des éléments de pompe avec une pression de service admissible au-dessous de 0,1 bar.
Des prescriptions sont inclues pour des applications à des essais hydrostatiques à des pressions différentes
pour séparer les zones à l’intérieur de la pompe qui sont soumises à différentes pressions maximales admissibles
de service.
La présente norme s’applique pour les pompes et groupes motopompes qui sont placés sur le marché après la date
de publication de la norme.
