Safety of children's clothing - Cords and drawstrings on children's clothing - Specifications
This European Standard specifies requirements for cords and drawstrings on children's clothing, including disguise costumes and skiwear, up to the age of 14 years.
Within the scope of this European Standard it is not possible to cover all potential hazards that may create an unsafe garment.
Conversely, identifiable specific hazards in certain styles/design of garment might not present a risk for certain age groups.
NOTE It is recommended that an individual risk assessment is carried out on any garment in order to ensure that it does not present a hazard to the wearer.
This European Standard does not apply to:
a) child use and care articles for example bibs, nappies and soother holders;
b) shoes, boots and similar footwear;
c) gloves, hats, bonnets and scarves;
d) neckties designed to be worn with a shirt or blouse;
e) belts and braces;
f) religious clothing that may be worn all the time, and celebratory clothing such as that worn at civil or religious ceremonies or regional or national festivals;
g) specialist sportswear and activity wear generally worn for limited periods and under supervision, for example rugby shorts, wet suits, and dancewear, except where those garments are commonly worn as day wear or night wear;
h) theatrical costumes used for theatrical performances;
i) aprons intended to be worn over day wear, for limited periods and under supervision, to protect clothing from soiling during activities such as painting, cooking, or during meal times.
Sicherheit von Kinderbekleidung - Kordeln und Zugbänder an Kinderbekleidung - Anforderungen
Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an Kordeln und Zugbänder an Kinderbekleidung, einschließlich
Karnevals- und Rollenkostüme sowie Skibekleidung für Kinder bis zum Alter von 14 Jahren fest.
Innerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches dieser Europäischen Norm ist es nicht möglich, alle potenziellen
Gefahren abzudecken, die eine unsichere Bekleidung verursachen kann.
Umgekehrt dürfen erkennbare spezielle Gefährdungen durch bestimmte Stile/Designs der Bekleidung kein
Risiko für bestimmte Altersgruppen darstellen.
ANMERKUNG Es wird empfohlen, eine individuelle Risikobeurteilung an jedem Bekleidungsstück durchzuführen, um
sicherzustellen, dass dieses keine Gefährdung für den Schulterträger darstellt.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für:
a) Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder, wie z. B. Lätzchen, Windeln und Schnullerhalter;
b) Schuhe, Stiefel und ähnliche Schuhwaren;
c) Handschuhe, Hüte, Mützen und Schals;
d) Krawatten/Fliegen/Halstücher, die mit einem Hemd oder einer Bluse zu tragen sind;
e) Gürtel und Hosenträger;
f) religiöse Bekleidung, die ständig getragen werden kann, und Festkleidung, wie sie auf zivilen oder
religiösen Feiern oder regionalen oder nationalen Festen getragen wird;
g) spezielle Sport- und Freizeitbekleidung, die im Allgemeinen nur für begrenzte Zeiträume und unter
Aufsicht getragen wird, wie z. B. Rugby-Shorts, Taucheranzüge und Tanzbekleidung, mit Ausnahme der
Kleidungsstücke, die üblicherweise als Tages- oder Nachtbekleidung getragen werden;
h) Theaterkostüme, die für Aufführungen benutzt werden;
i) Schürzen, die über bestimmte Zeiträume und unter Aufsicht am Tag getragen werden, um die Kleidung
bei Aktivitäten, wie malen, kochen oder während der Mahlzeiten, zu schützen.

La présente Norme Européenne fixe des exigences concernant les cordons, coulissants ou non, de
vêtements d’enfants, y compris les costumes de déguisement et les combinaisons de ski, jusqu’à l’âge de 14
ans.
Le domaine d’application de la présente Norme Européenne ne peut pas englober la totalité des dangers
potentiels qui sont susceptibles de conférer un risque à un vêtement.
Inversement certains dangers potentiels spécifiques identifiables sur certains styles/modèles de vêtements
pourraient ne pas présenter de risque pour certains groupes d’âge.
NOTE Il est recommandé de soumettre chacun des vêtements à une évaluation du risque pour s’assurer qu’il ne
constitue pas un danger potentiel pour le porteur.
Cette Norme Européenne ne s’applique pas aux articles suivants :
a) articles de puériculture, par exemple bavoirs, couches et attaches pour sucettes ;
b) chaussures, bottes et articles chaussants similaires ;
c) gants, chapeaux, bonnets et foulards ;
d) cravates destinées à être portées avec une chemise ou un chemisier ;
e) ceintures et bretelles de pantalon ;
f) vêtements religieux pouvant être portés en permanence et vêtements de fête pouvant être portés à
l’occasion de cérémonies civiles ou religieuses ou bien lors de festivals régionaux ou nationaux ;
g) vêtements conçus pour la pratique d’un sport et vêtements professionnels portés, en général, pendant
des périodes limitées et sous surveillance, par exemple shorts de rugby, combinaisons de plongée et
vêtements de danse, excepté lorsque ces vêtements sont des tenues de jour ou de nuit couramment
portées ;
h) costumes de théâtre, utilisés lors de spectacles ;
i) tabliers destinés à être portés par dessus une tenue de jour pendant des périodes limitées et sous
surveillance, pour éviter de salir les vêtements au cours d’activités telles que la peinture, la cuisine ou
durant les repas.

Evropski standard določa zahteve za vrvice in vezalke na otroških oblačilih, vključujoč kostume in smučarska oblačila za otroke do 14 let.
Področje tega evropskega standarda ne zajema vseh možnih nevarnosti, ki bi jih lahko povzročilo neprimerno oblačilo.
Obratno velja, da prepoznavne specifične nevarnosti na določenih oblačilih ne predstavljajo nujno tveganja za določene starostne skupine.
OPOMBA: Priporoča se, da se posamezna ocena tveganja naredi za vsa oblačila, da bi zagotovili, da ne predstavljajo nevarnosti za uporabnika.
Evropski standard se ne nanaša na:
a) otroške izdelke za nego, kot so slinčki, pleničke in držala za dude;
b) čevlje, škornje in podobno obutev;
c) rokavice, kape, čepice in šale;
d) kravate za nošnjo k srajcam ali bluzam;
e) pasove in naramnice;
f) tradicionalna oblačila, ki se lahko nosijo vsak dan, slavnostna oblačila, ki se nosijo pri civilnih ali verskih slovesnostih ali ob regionalnih ali nacionalnih praznikih;
g) posebna športna oblačila in oblačila za prosti čas, ki se nosijo ob določenih priložnostih in pod nadzorom, kot na primer kratke hlače za ragbi, plavalna in potapljaška obleka, plesna oblačila, z izjemo oblačil, ki se nosijo kot dnevna ali nočna oblačila;
h) gledališke kostume, namenjene gledališkim predstavam;
i) predpasnike, ki se nosijo čez dan, ob določenih priložnostih in pod nadzorom in so namenjeni
zaščiti oblačil med slikanjem, kuhanjem ali v času obedov.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2008. This document supersedes EN 14682:2004. The main difference between this revision and the 2004 edition is that figures have been added to assist in clarification of the text. NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 14682:2007 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
CEN/TC 248, katerega sekretariat vodi BSI.
Slovenski standard SIST EN 14682:2008 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 14682:2007. V primeru
spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v
angleškem jeziku. Slovenski prevod standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC OTR Izdelki za
otroke.
Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je dne 5. decembra 2007 sprejel tehnični odbor SIST/TC TEK
Tekstil in tekstilni izdelki.
