Air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps with electrically driven compressors for space heating and cooling - Part 1: Terms and definitions
This European Standard specifies the terms and definitions for the rating and performance of air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps using either, air, water or brine as heat transfer media, with electrically driven compressors when used for space heating and/or cooling. This European Standard does not apply to heat pumps for domestic hot water, although certain definitions can be applied to these.
This European Standard applies to:
- factory-made units that can be ducted,
- factory-made liquid chilling packages with integral condensers or for use with remote condensers,
- factory-made units of either fixed capacity or variable capacity by any means, and
- air-to-air air conditioners which can also evaporate the condensate on the condenser side.
Packaged units, single split and multisplit systems are covered by this standard. Single duct and double duct units are covered by the standard.
In the case of units consisting of several parts, this European Standard applies only to those designed and supplied as a complete package, except for liquid chilling packages with remote condenser.
This European Standard is primarily intended for water and brine chilling packages but can be used for other liquid subject to agreement.
The units having their condenser cooled by air and by the evaporation of external additional water are not covered by this standard, see EN 15218 for evaporatively cooled condenser units.
Installations used for heating and/or cooling of industrial processes are not within the scope of this standard.
NOTE 1 Part load testing of units is dealt with in prEN 14825.
NOTE 2 All the symbols given in this text should be used regardless of the language used.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Begriffe für die Einstufung und Leistung von Luftkonditionierern, Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen,
Wärmepumpen, die entweder Luft oder Wasser oder Sole als Wärmeträger nutzen, mit elektrisch
angetriebenen Verdichtern für die Raumbeheizung und/oder Kühlung fest. Diese Europäische Norm gilt
nicht speziell für Wärmepumpen zum Erwärmen von Brauchwasser, obwohl bestimmte Definitionen auf diese
angewendet werden können.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für:
- fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte, die mit Luftkanalanschlüssen versehen sein können,
- fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Flüssigkeitskühlsätze, die mit eingebauten Verflüssigern oder mit getrennt
angeordneten Verflüssigern betrieben werden,
- fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte mit fest eingestellter oder durch beliebige Vorrichtungen zu verändernder
Leistung (variable Leistung), und
- Luft/Luft-Luftkonditionierer, die das Kondensat auf der Verflüssigerseite verdampfen.
Kompaktgeräte, Einzelgeräte in Split-Bauweise und Multi-Split-Systeme fallen unter den Anwendungsbereich
dieser Norm. Geräte mit Ein- und Zweikanal-Systemen werden ebenfalls in dieser Norm behandelt.
Wenn die Geräte aus mehreren Teilen bestehen, gilt diese Europäische Norm mit der Ausnahme von Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen
mit getrennt angeordnetem Verflüssiger nur für Teile, die als vollständige Baueinheit konstruiert
und geliefert werden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt hauptsächlich für Wasser- und Solekühlsätze, kann jedoch bei Vereinbarung auf
weitere Flüssigkeitskühlsätze angewendet werden.
Geräte, deren Verflüssiger durch Belüftung und durch Verdampfung von zusätzlichem, von außen zugeführtem
Wasser gekühlt wird, werden in dieser Norm nicht behandelt, sind jedoch Gegenstand von EN 15218, die
sich auf verdunstungsgekühlte Verflüssiger bezieht.
Anlagen für die Beheizung und/oder Kühlung industrieller Prozesse fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich
dieser Norm.
ANMERKUNG 1 Die Prüfung von Geräten unter Teillastbedingungen ist in prEN 14825 festgelegt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les termes et définitions relatifs à la détermination des caractéristiques de performance des climatiseurs à condensation par air et à condensation par eau, des groupes refroidisseurs de liquide et des pompes à chaleur utilisant l'air, l'eau ou l'eau glycolée comme fluide caloporteur, avec compresseur entraîné par moteur électrique, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés pour le chauffage et/ou la réfrigération des locaux. La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas spécifiquement aux pompes à chaleur utilisées pour l'eau chaude sanitaire, bien que certaines définitions puissent leur être applicables.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique :
- aux appareils fabriqués en usine qui peuvent être raccordés ;
- aux groupes refroidisseurs de liquide autonomes fabriqués en usine ou conçus pour être utilisés avec des condenseurs fournis séparément ;
- aux appareils fabriqués en usine de capacité fixe ou variable par tous moyens ; et
- aux climatiseurs air/air qui peuvent également évaporer les condensats du côté condenseur.
La présente norme couvre les systèmes monoblocs, à deux éléments séparés et multi-split. La présente norme couvre les appareils à simple et à double raccordement.
Dans le cas d'appareils à éléments séparés, la présente Norme européenne ne s'applique qu'aux appareils conçus et fournis comme un ensemble, sauf pour ce qui concerne les groupes refroidisseurs de liquide avec condenseur séparé.
La présente Norme européenne est principalement destinée aux groupes refroidisseurs d'eau et d'eau glycolée mais peut être utilisé, après accord, pour d'autres liquides.
Les appareils ayant leur condenseur refroidi par air et par évaporation d'eau extérieure supplémentaire ne sont pas couverts par la présente norme, voir l'EN 15218 pour les appareils ayant leur condenseur refroidi par évaporation.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux installations utilisées pour le chauffage et/ou le refroidissement des procédés industriels.
NOTE 1 Les essais à charge partielle des appareils sont traités dans le prEN 14825.

Ta evropski standard določa izraze in definicije za ocenjevanje in delovanje klimatskih naprav, enot za tekočinsko hlajenje in toplotnih črpalk, ki uporabljajo zrak, vodo ali slanico kot medij za transport toplote, z električnimi kompresorji, kadar se uporabljajo za segrevanje in/ali ohlajevanje prostora. Ta evropski standard ne velja za toplotne črpalke za gospodinjsko vročo vodo, čeprav lahko za njih veljajo določene definicije. Ta evropski standard velja za: - tovarniško izdelane enote, ki se lahko uporabljajo v ceveh; - tovarniško izdelane enote za tekočinsko hlajenje z vgrajenim kondenzatorjem ali za uporabo z oddaljenim kondenzatorjem; - tovarniško izdelane enote s fiksno ali na kakršen koli način spremenljivo zmogljivostjo in - klimatske naprave zrak-zrak, ki prav tako lahko uparijo kondenzat na strani kondenzatorja. Ta standard zajema pakirane enote in sisteme z enim ali več razcepi. Ta standard zajema enote z enojnim in dvojnim jaškom. Pri enotah, sestavljenih iz več kosov, ta evropski standard velja samo za tiste, ki so načrtovane in dostavljene kot celoten paket, razen za enote za tekočinsko hlajenje z oddaljenim kondenzatorjem.
