Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs - Non-metallic articles for catering and industrial use - Method of test for the determination of impact resistance

This standard gives a method of test for determination of the resistance to mechanical shocks of articles used in catering and industrial services where they are subject to substantial and frequent shocks. It is well known that the results of this test procedure depend upon the details of the test conditions. The results therefore cannot be generalized for other ustensils made of the same material, nor to other test conditions. The results are only valid for the article and test conditions specified in the test report.

Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstandes von Gegenständen gegen mechanische Schlagbeanspruchung fest, die in gastronomischen und gewerblichen Bereichen verwendet werden, in denen sie starker Schlagbeanspruchung häufig ausgesetzt sind. Es ist allgemein bekannt daß die Ergebnisse dieses Prüfverfahrens wesentlich von Details der Prüf- bedingungen abhängen. Die Ergebnisse können deshalb weder auf andere Gegenstände aus dem gleichen Material noch auf andere Prüfbedingungen allgemein über- tragen werden.

La présente norme indique une méthode de détermination de la résistance aux chocs mécaniques des objets utilisés pour la cuisine dans les collectivités, et pour la préparation industrielle et le transport de nourriture, où ils sont fréquemment soumis à des chocs importants. Il est reconnu que les valeurs des résultats de cette procédure d'essai dépendent des détails des conditions d'essai. Les résultats peuvent donc ne pas être généralisés pour d'autres ustensiles provenant du même matériau, ni d'autres conditions d'essai.
