Ergonomics of human-system interaction - Part 400: Principles and requirements for physical input devices (ISO 9241-400:2007)

ISO 9241-400:2006 gives guidelines for physical input devices for interactive systems. It provides guidance based on ergonomic factors for the following input devices: keyboards, mice, pucks, joysticks, trackballs, trackpads, tablets and overlays, touch sensitive screens, styli, light pens, voice controlled devices, and gesture controlled devices. It defines and formulates ergonomic principles valid for the design and use of input devices. These principles are to be used to generate recommendations for the design of products and for their use. It also defines relevant terms for the entire 400 series of ISO 9241. For some applications, e.g. in areas where safety is the major concern, other additional principles may apply and take precedence over the guidance given here.
ISO 9241-400:2006 also determines properties of input devices relevant for usability including functional, electrical, mechanical, maintainability and safety related properties. Additionally included are aspects of interdependency with the use environment and software.

Dieser Teil von ISO ISO 9241 enthält Leitsätze für physikalische Eingabegeräte von interaktiven Systemen. Er enthält Leitlinien auf der Basis ergonomischer Einflussgrößen für die folgenden Eingabegeräte: Tastaturen, Mäuse, Pucks, Joysticks, Rollkugeln (Trackballs), Trackpads, Tablettes und Overlays (Auflegemasken), Berührungsbildschirme (Touchscreens), Griffel und Lichtgriffel, sprachgesteuerte Geräte, gestikgesteuerte Geräte (siehe 6.1.1). Dieser Teil von ISO ISO 9241 definiert und formuliert ergonomische Grundsätze, die für die Gestaltung und den Gebrauch von Eingabegeräten gelten. Diese Grundsätze sind geeignet für die Formulierung von Empfehlungen für die Gestaltung von Produkten und für ihren Gebrauch. Dieser Teil definiert relevante Begriffe für die gesamte 400er Reihe von ISO ISO 9241. Für einige Einsatzgebiete, z. B. in Bereichen, in denen Sicherheit das Hauptanliegen ist, können andere zusätzliche Grundsätze gelten und Vorrang vor den hier gegebenen Leitlinien einnehmen.
Dieser Teil von ISO ISO 9241 legt auch Merkmale von Eingabegeräten fest, die für die Gebrauchstauglichkeit relevant sind, einschließlich funktionaler, elektrischer, mechanischer, wartungs- und sicherheitsrelevanter Merkmale. Ebenfalls eingeschlossen sind Aspekte der gegenseitigen Wechselwirkung mit der Nutzungsumgebung und der Software.
Jedes dieser Merkmale kann Gegenstand anderer Vorschriften und Normen sein. Diese werden dem Beispiel der elektrischen Merkmale folgend berücksichtigt. In diesem Fall berücksichtigt dieser Teil von ISO ISO 9241 die folgenden Merkmale:
   Merkmale, die durch vorrangige Sachverhalte beeinflusst werden,
BEISPIEL   Merkmale mit Bezug zur elektrischen Sicherheit können nicht durch den Gestalter beeinflusst werden.
   Merkmale, die die Gebrauchstauglichkeit beeinträchtigen können.
BEISPIEL   Die Stärke des Kabels einer Maus oder das Gewicht von Batterien von handgehaltenen Geräten müssen berücksichtigt werden.

Ergonomie de l'interaction homme-système - Partie 400: Principes et exigences pour les dispositifs d'entrée physiques (ISO 9241-400:2007)

L'ISO 9241-400:2006 présente les lignes directrices relatives aux dispositifs d'entrée physiques pour systèmes interactifs. Elle donne des indications en fonction de facteurs ergonomiques pour les dispositifs d'entrée suivants: claviers, souris, souris optiques, manettes, boules roulantes, pavés tactiles, tablettes et barres graphiques, écrans tactiles, stylets et photostyles, dispositifs à commande vocale, dispositifs à commande gestuelle. L'ISO 9241-400:2006 définit et énonce les principes ergonomiques applicables pour la conception et l'utilisation des dispositifs d'entrée. Ces principes sont censés être utilisés pour générer des recommandations pour la conception de produits et leur utilisation. L'ISO 9241-400:2006 définit des termes applicables à la série 400 de l'ISO 9241. Pour certaines applications, par exemple dans des domaines où la sécurité est primordiale, d'autres principes peuvent s'appliquer et avoir la priorité sur les lignes directrices données ici.
L'ISO 9241-400:2006 détermine également les propriétés des dispositifs d'entrée concernant l'utilisabilité, à savoir les propriétés fonctionnelles, électriques, mécaniques et relatives à la maintenabilité et à la sécurité. Les aspects d'interdépendance par rapport à l'environnement d'utilisation et aux logiciels sont également étudiés.

ISO/CEN PARALLEL ENQUIRY
The CEN Secretary-General has advised the ISO Secretary-General that this ISO/DIS covers a subject
of interest to European standardization. In accordance with the ISO-lead mode of collaboration as
defined in the Vienna Agreement, consultation on this ISO/DIS has the same effect for CEN
members as would a CEN enquiry on a draft European Standard. Should this draft be accepted, a
final draft, established on the basis of comments received, will be submitted to a parallel two-month FDIS
vote in ISO and formal vote in CEN.
