Eye and face protection for sports use - Part 1: Requirements for downhill skiing and snowboarding goggles (ISO 18527-1:2021)
This document applies to all goggles with plano lenses, intended for eye protection against hazards including ultraviolet and visible solar radiation, rain, snow and wind, during downhill skiing, snowboarding and other similar activities.
This document applies to downhill skiing and snowboarding goggles fitted with an insert to carry prescription lenses.
It specifies requirements and testing for materials, performance, marking of goggles and information to be supplied by the manufacturer.
Information on the selection and use of downhill skiing and snowboarding goggles is given in Annex A.
This document does not apply to
a) eye protectors for protection when operating or travelling on a motorized vehicle,
b) eye protectors for protection against optical radiation from artificial sources, such as those used in solaria,
c) eye protectors for direct observation of the sun, and
d) eye protectors intended for sports with unrelated hazards and risks.

Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für alle Korbbrillen mit Plan-Sichtscheiben, die dafür vorgesehen sind, die Augen beim Abfahrtskifahren, Snowboarden und anderen ähnlichen sportlichen Aktivitäten vor Gefährdungen ein¬schließlich ultravioletter und sichtbarer Sonnenstrahlung, Regen, Schnee und Wind zu schützen.
Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für Abfahrtski- und Snowboardbrillen, die mit einem Einsatz zum Tragen von Korrektionssichtscheiben ausgestattet sind.
Es legt die Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Werkstoffe, Funktionstauglichkeit, Kennzeichnung von Korbbrillen und die vom Hersteller bereitzustellenden Informationen fest.
Anhang A enthält Informationen zur Auswahl und Verwendung von Abfahrtski- und Snowboard-Korbbrillen.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für
a) Augenschutzgeräte zum Schutz beim Betrieb eines motorisierten Fahrzeugs oder bei der Fahrt mit einem solchen,
b) Augenschutzgeräte zum Schutz gegen optische Strahlung aus künstlichen Quellen, wie sie z. B. in Solarien zum Einsatz kommt,
c) Augenschutzgeräte für die direkte Beobachtung der Sonne, und
d) Augenschutzgeräte, die für Sportarten mit nicht verwandten Gefährdungen und Risiken vorgesehen sind.

Le présent document s'applique à l'ensemble des lunettes équipées de verres plans, destinées à assurer une protection des yeux contre des dangers tels que les rayonnements solaires ultraviolets et visibles, la pluie, la neige et le vent, au cours des activités de ski alpin, de surf des neiges et d'autres activités similaires.
Le présent document s'applique aux lunettes de ski alpin et de surf des neiges, équipées d'un insert pour recevoir des verres correcteurs.
Il spécifie les exigences et essais pour les matériaux, la performance et le marquage des lunettes, ainsi que les informations à fournir par le fabricant.
L'Annexe A fournit des informations concernant le choix et l'utilisation de lunettes de ski alpin et de surf des neiges.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas:
a) aux protecteurs de l'œil destinés à assurer une protection lors de l'utilisation ou du transport sur un véhicule motorisé;

Ta mednarodni standard se uporablja za vsa afokalna (brez korekcije) očala, namenjena za zaščito oči pred nevarnostmi, vključno z ultravijoličnim in vidnim sončnim sevanjem, dežjem, snegom in vetrom, med alpskim smučanjem, deskanjem na snegu in drugimi dejavnostmi s podobnimi nevarnostmi in brez večjih tveganj.
Obravnava materiale, konstrukcijo, optične lastnosti, preskušanje, etiketiranje in označevanje.
Zahteve za označevanje očal in informacije, ki jih mora zagotoviti proizvajalec, so prav tako določene.
Informacije o izbiri in uporabi očal za smučanje in deskanje na snegu so na voljo v dodatku A.
Ta mednarodni standard se ne uporablja za:

This document (EN ISO 18527-1:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 94
"Personal safety -- Personal protective equipment" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC
85 “Eye protective equipment” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2022, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2025.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
