Petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - Calculation of heater-tube thickness in petroleum refineries (ISO 13704:2022)

This document specifies the requirements for the procedures and design criteria used for calculating the required wall thickness of new tubes and associated component fittings for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. These procedures are appropriate for designing tubes for service in both corrosive and non-corrosive applications. These procedures have been developed specifically for the design of refinery and related process-fired heater tubes (direct-fired, heat-absorbing tubes within enclosures). These procedures are not intended to be used for the design of external piping.
This document does not give recommendations for tube retirement thickness. A technique for estimating the life remaining for a heater tube is described
This document is a supplement to API 530, 7th edition (2015) including addendum 1 and addendum 2, the requirements of which are applicable with the exceptions specified in this document.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences et donne des recommandations pour des méthodes et des critères de conception utilisés pour calculer l’épaisseur de paroi requise de tubes neufs et de raccords composants associés pour les industries du pétrole, de la pétrochimie et du gaz naturel. Ces méthodes sont appropriées pour concevoir des tubes destinés à un service dans des applications corrosives et non corrosives. Ces méthodes ont été développées spécifiquement pour la conception des raffineries et des tubes de fours à brûleurs de procédé associés (à brûleurs directs, tubes absorbant la chaleur au sein d’enceintes). Ces méthodes ne sont pas prévues pour être utilisées pour la conception de tuyauterie extérieure.
Le présent document ne donne aucune recommandation concernant l'épaisseur de retrait de tubes. Il décrit une technique pour l'estimation de la durée de vie restante d'un tube de four.
Le présent document complète l’API 530, 7e édition (2015), y compris l’addendum 1 et l’addendum 2, dont les exigences sont applicables selon les exceptions spécifiées dans le présent document.

Petrokemična industrija ter industrija za predelavo nafte in zemeljskega plina - Izračun debeline grelne cevi v rafinerijah nafte (ISO 13704:2022)

Ta dokument določa zahteve za postopke in merila za načrtovanje, ki se uporabljajo za izračun zahtevane debeline sten novih cevi in pripadajočih sestavnih delov za petrokemično industrijo ter industrijo za predelavo nafte in zemeljskega plina. Ti postopki so primerni za načrtovanje cevi za uporabo tako v korozivnem kot nekorozivnem okolju. Oblikovani so bili posebej za načrtovanje grelnih cevi v rafinerijskih in sorodnih procesih (cevi, ki so neposredno izpostavljene ognju in absorbirajo toploto znotraj ohišja). This document (EN ISO 13704:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 67 "Oil and
gas industries including lower carbon energy" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 12
“Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries”
the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2023, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2023.
