Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures - Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components
This European Standard specifies requirements for conformity assessment of performance characteristics for structural steel and aluminium components as well as for kits placed on the market as construction products. The conformity assessment covers the manufacturing characteristics, and where appropriate the structural design characteristics.
This European Standard covers also the conformity assessment of steel components used in composite steel and concrete structures.
The components can be used directly or in construction works or as structural components in the form of kits.
This European Standard applies to series and non-series structural components including kits.
The components can be made of hot rolled or cold formed constituent products or constituent products produced with other technologies. They may be produced of sections/profiles with various shapes, flat products (plates, sheet, strip), bars, castings, forgings made of steel and aluminium materials, unprotected or protected against corrosion by coating or other surface treatment, e.g. anodising of aluminium.
This European Standard covers structural cold formed members and sheeting as defined in EN 1993-1-3 and EN 1999-1-4.
This European Standard does not cover conformity assessment of components for suspended ceilings, rails or sleepers for use in railway systems.
NOTE For certain steel and aluminium components, particular specifications for performance and other requirements have been developed. The particular specifications may be issued as an EN or as Clauses within an EN. An example is given in EN 13084-7 for single wall steel chimneys and steel liners. Such particular specifications will take precedence in case of non-compliance with the requirements of this European Standard.
Ausführung von Stahltragwerken und Aluminiumtragwerken - Teil 1: Konformitätsnachweisverfahren für tragende Bauteile
Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an den Konformitätsnachweis von Stahlbauteilen, Aluminiumbauteilen
und Bausätzen, die als Bauprodukte in Verkehr gebracht werden, fest. Der Konformitätsnachweis
umfasst die für die Herstellung maßgeblichen Eigenschaften sowie, sofern erforderlich, die für die konstruktive
Bemessung maßgeblichen Eigenschaften.
Diese Europäische Norm befasst sich ebenfalls mit dem Konformitätsnachweis von Stahlbauteilen, die in
Verbundtragwerken aus Stahl und Beton verwendet werden.
Die Bauteile können entweder direkt verwendet werden oder zum Einbau in Bauwerke bzw. in Form von
Bausätzen zur Verfügung stehen.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für tragende Bauteile, die entweder serienmäßig oder nicht serienmäßig hergestellt
werden, sowie für Bausätze.
Die Bauteile können aus warmgewalzten oder kaltgeformten Halbzeugen oder mittels anderer Technologien
hergestellten Halbzeugen hergestellt werden. Sie können in verschiedenen Querschnitten/Profilen
unterschiedlicher Form oder als flache Produkte (Platten, Bleche, Band), Stäbe oder Guss- oder
Schmiedebauteile aus Stahl- oder Aluminiumwerkstoffen hergestellt werden und können ungeschützt oder
durch Beschichtung oder eine andere Oberflächenbehandlung, z. B. durch Eloxieren von Aluminium,
korrosionsgeschützt sein.
Diese Europäische Norm befasst sich mit kaltgeformten tragenden Bauteilen und Blechen nach EN 1993-1-3
und EN 1999-1-4.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für den Konformitätsnachweis von Bauteilen für abgehängte Decken oder
für Schienen und Schwellen für Eisenbahnsysteme.
ANMERKUNG Für bestimmte Stahl- und Aluminiumbauteile wurden besondere Festlegungen für die Leistungsmerkmale
sowie für weitere Anforderungen entwickelt. Diese Festlegungen können als EN oder als Abschnitte einer
EN vorliegen. Ein Beispiel hierfür enthält die EN 13084-7 für einschalige Schornsteine aus Stahl und Innenrohre aus Stahl

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences pour l’évaluation de la conformité aux caractéristiques
de performance pour des éléments structuraux en acier et en aluminium ainsi que pour des kits mis sur le
marché en tant que produits de construction. L’évaluation de la conformité couvre les caractéristiques de
fabrication, et si nécessaire les caractéristiques de calcul structural.
La présente Norme européenne couvre également l’évaluation de la conformité des éléments en acier utilisés
dans les structures mixtes acier-béton.
Les éléments peuvent être utilisés directement ou être inclus dans des ouvrages de construction ou en tant
qu’éléments structuraux sous forme de kits.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux éléments structuraux de série ou non, y compris les kits.
Les éléments peuvent être fabriqués à partir de produits laminés à chaud ou formés à froid ou produits à partir
d’autres technologies. Ils peuvent être produits à partir de produits longs/profilés de différentes formes,
produits plats (plaques, tôle, bande), barres, pièces moulées, pièces forgées en acier et en aluminium, non
protégés ou protégés contre la corrosion par revêtement ou autre traitement de surface, par exemple
anodisation de l’aluminium.
La présente Norme européenne couvre les profilés et plaques formés à froid tels que définis dans
l’EN 1993-1-3 et l’EN 1999-1-4.
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre pas l’évaluation de la conformité d’éléments pour plafonds
suspendus, de rails ou traverses pour usages ferroviaires.
NOTE Pour certains éléments en acier et en aluminium, des spécifications particulières pour les performances et
d'autres exigences ont été développées. Les spécifications particulières peuvent être publiées en tant qu’EN ou en tant
qu'articles d’une EN.
