ISO 17654:2003 specifies the pressure test method to be applied to resistance seam welded specimens of different types of material, e.g. uncoated and coated ferritic steels and uncoated austenitic steel sheet with single sheet thicknesses ranging from 0,3 mm to 3,2 mm.
The purpose of this pressure test is to determine the suitability of the material, welding equipment, welding parameters and of other factors on a tank, a vessel or a container for liquids or gases, which are manufactured by resistance seam welding.

Diese Norm beschreibt die Druckprüfung von rollennahtgeschweißten Proben aus verschiedenen Werkstoffsorten, z.B. unbeschichtete und beschichtete ferritische Stähle und unbeschichteten austenitischen Stahlblechen mit Einzelblechdicken im Bereich von 0,3 mm bis 3,2 mm.

L'ISO 17654:2003 spécifie la méthode d'essai sous pression à appliquer à des éprouvettes soudées par résistance à la molette constituées de différents types de matériaux, par exemple les aciers ferritiques non revêtus ou revêtus et les aciers austénitiques non revêtus sous forme de tôle mince, d'épaisseur comprise entre 0,3 mm et 3,2 mm.
L'objet de cet essai sous pression est de déterminer la compatibilité du matériau, du matériel de soudage, des paramètres de soudage et d'autres facteurs vis-à-vis d'un réservoir, d'un récipient ou d'un conteneur destinés à recevoir des liquides ou des gaz, fabriqués par soudage par résistance à la molette.
