This document specifies the minimum requirements for securing payload to ensure safe operation of freight wagons, utilizing a train speed of up to 120 km/h. It is serving as a basis for the design and implementation of payload securing methods.
Additional requirements in the case of wagons designed for the transport of special payload and/or with integrated load security (e.g. tank wagons, hopper wagons, car carriers, coil carriers and wagons for intermodal transport) are not part of this document.

Dieses Dokument legt die Mindestanforderungen zur Nutzlastsicherung fest, um den sicheren Betrieb von Güterwagen mit einer Zuggeschwindigkeit von bis zu 120 km/h sicherzustellen und dient als Grundlage für den Entwurf und die Implementierung des Sicherungsverfahrens von Nutzlast.
Zusätzliche Anforderungen bei Wagen, die für den Transport von spezieller Nutzlast ausgelegt sind und/oder über eine integrierte Ladungssicherheit verfügen (z. B. Tankwagen, Schüttgutwagen, Autotransportwagen, Coiltransporter und Wagen für den intermodalen Transport), sind nicht in diesem Dokument enthalten.

Le présent document définit les exigences minimales en matière d’arrimage de la charge utile afin d’assurer la sécurité de l’exploitation des wagons de marchandises, en se basant sur une vitesse de train allant jusqu’à 120 km/h. La présente norme sert lors de la conception et de la mise en oeuvre des méthodes d’arrimage de la charge utile.
Des exigences additionnelles dans le cas des wagons destinés au transport d’une charge utile spéciale et/ou comportant un arrimage des charges intégré (par exemple, wagons citernes, wagons-trémies, wagons porte-autos, wagons porte-bobines et wagons de transport intermodal), ne sont pas couvertes par le présent document.

Ta evropski standard določa minimalne zahteve za zagotovitev koristnega tovora za varno delovanje tovornih vagonov pri hitrosti vlaka 120 km/h ter se uporablja kot osnova za načrtovanje in izvajanje metod za zagotovitev koristnega tovora.
Pri vagonih, ki so konstruirani za prevoz posebnega tovora in/ali z vgrajenim varovanjem tovora (npr. cisterne, vagoni za razsuti material, vagoni za avtomobile, vagoni za kolute in vagoni za intermodalni prevoz), je treba upoštevati tudi posebne zahteve.

In all above mentioned cases the single permissible wheel load shall not be exceeded. b) Criteria for stability, whereby heavy and lighter goods are to be arranged so that the payload centre of gravity should be as low as possible to reduce the likelihood of tipping and loss of payload. c) Payload shall not prevent opening, closing and locking of sliding doors, sliding walls and opening roofs. d) Doors, closure devices and hatches which are used for loading and unloading of payload shall be securely closed during transport, see EN 15723. e) All other equipment for securing payload shall be stowed in a safe manner.
