Machines for mechanical processing of minerals and similar solid materials - Safety - Part 1: Common requirements for machinery and processing plants

This document applies to machines for mechanical processing of minerals (cement, lime and gypsum, sand and gravel, industrial minerals, metalliferous ore and hard and soft rock aggregates, coal) and -products (slag and ashes, production and demolition waste) in construction and industry.
It deals with the following types of individual machines for the mechanical processing of minerals and similar solid materials:
-   feeding machinery in accordance with EN 1009-2;
-   crushing machinery in accordance with EN 1009-3;
-   milling machinery in accordance with EN 1009-3;
-   screening machinery in accordance with EN 1009-4;
-   machinery for cleaning, water recycling, sorting (other than screens) and mud treatment in accordance with EN 1009-5;
-   mobile machinery in accordance with prEN 1009-6.
This document gives the common safety requirements for mechanical processing machines used for quarrying, recycling and processing mineral and by-products (cement, lime and gypsum, sand and gravel, industrial minerals, metalliferous ore, production and demolition waste, slag handling, hard and soft rock aggregates, coal) in construction and surface mining and is intended to be used in conjunction with one of the parts EN 1009-2 to prEN 1009-6. These machine specific parts (EN 1009-2 to prEN 1009-6) do not repeat the requirements from this document, but add or replace the requirements for the machine type in question.
NOTE 1   The requirements specified in this part of EN 1009 are common to two or more types of machines for the mechanical processing of minerals and similar solid materials.
Specific requirements in EN 1009 2 to prEN 1009-6 take precedence over the respective requirements of this document.
This document also covers assemblies of two or more of the mentioned machines which function as an integrated whole. The machines included in the scope of this document can be fixed, semi-mobile or mobile.
NOTE 2   prEN 1009-6 "Specific requirements for mobile and semi mobile equipment" is under preparation to cover specific requirements (e.g. mobility, braking, access, frequent transportation), including exceptions and additional requirements for mobile and semi mobile equipment. This means that mobile machines are not covered as long as EN 1009-6 is not published by CEN.
This document covers transportation, erection, commissioning, use and maintenance of single machines or combination of single machines.
This document deals with significant hazards, common to the types of machines listed in this scope when they are used as intended and under conditions for misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Annex F) and to the hazards due to the combination of these machines and specifies the appropriate measures to eliminate or reduce the risks arising from the significant hazards.
Design relating to road traffic regulations is not covered by this document.
This document does not cover:
-   design relating to road traffic regulations;
-   hazards arising from the use of the machines in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as from processing of explosive materials and risks related to electromagnetic compatibility;
-   specific hazards related to mobile machinery.
NOTE 3   EN ISO 13766-1 and EN ISO 13766-2 specify test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility of all kinds of mobile construction machinery.
This document is not applicable to machinery which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.

Maschinen für die mechanische Aufbereitung von Mineralien und ähnlichen festen Stoffen - Sicherheit - Teil 1: Gemeinsame Anforderungen für Aufbereitungsmaschinen und -anlagen

Dieses Dokument gilt für Maschinen für die mechanische Aufbereitung von Mineralien (Zement, Kalk und Gips, Sand und Kies, Industriemineralien, Metallerze und harte und weiche Gesteins-Zuschlagstoffe, Kohle) und  produkten (Schlacke und Asche, Produktions- und Abbruchabfälle) in Bauwesen und Industrie.
Gegenstand sind die folgenden Typen einzelner Maschinen zur mechanischen Aufbereitung von Mineralien und ähnlichen festen Stoffen:
- Aufgabemaschinen nach EN 1009 2;
- Brecher nach EN 1009 3;
- Mühlen nach EN 1009 3;
- Klassiermaschinen nach EN 1009 4;
- Maschinen zur Reinigung, Wasseraufbereitung, Sortierung (außer Siebe) und Schlamm-Verarbeitung nach EN 1009 5;
- mobile Maschinen nach prEN 1009 6.
Dieses Dokument enthält die gemeinsamen Sicherheitsanforderungen für mechanische Aufbereitungs-maschinen, die zum Abbau, Recycling und zur Aufbereitung von Mineralien und Nebenprodukten (Zement, Kalk und Gips, Sand und Kies, Industriemineralien, Metallerze, Produktions- und Abbruchabfälle, Schlackeverarbeitung, harte und weiche Gesteins-Zuschlagstoffe, Kohle) im Bauwesen und Tagebau eingesetzt werden, und ist zur Verwendung mit einem der Teile EN 1009 2 bis prEN 1009 6 vorgesehen. In diesen maschinenspezifischen Teilen (EN 1009 2 bis prEN 1009 6) werden die Anforderungen aus diesem Dokument nicht wiederholt, sondern die Anforderungen für den betreffenden Maschinentyp ergänzt oder ersetzt.
ANMERKUNG 1 Die in diesem Teil von EN 1009 festgelegten Anforderungen gelten für zwei oder mehr Typen von Maschinen zur mechanischen Aufbereitung von Mineralien und ähnlichen festen Stoffen.
Besondere Anforderungen in EN 1009 2 bis prEN 1009 6 haben Vorrang vor den entsprechenden Anforderungen in diesem Dokument.
Dieses Dokument deckt auch Kombinationen aus zwei oder mehr der erwähnten Maschinen ab, die dann als ganzheitliche Maschine funktionieren. Die im Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments beinhalteten Maschinen können feststehend, teilmobil oder mobil sein.
ANMERKUNG 2 prEN 1009 6 „Spezifische Anforderungen für mobile und semi-mobile Anlagen“ ist in Vorbereitung, um spezifische Anforderungen (z. B. Beweglichkeit, Bremsen, Zugang, häufiger Transport) einschließlich Ausnahmen und zusätzliche Anforderungen an mobile und semi-mobile Anlagen abzudecken. Dies bedeutet, dass mobile Maschinen nicht behandelt werden, solange EN 1009 6 nicht von CEN veröffentlicht wurde.
Dieses Dokument behandelt den Transport, die Errichtung, die Inbetriebnahme, den Betrieb und die Instandhaltung von Einzelmaschinen oder Kombinationen von Einzelmaschinen.
Dieses Dokument behandelt signifikante Gefährdungen, die den in diesem Anwendungsbereich aufgeführten Maschinentypen gemeinsam sind, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter Bedingungen für eine vom Hersteller vernünftigerweise vorhersehbaren Fehlanwendung verwendet werden (siehe Anhang F), sowie die Gefährdungen aufgrund der Kombination dieser Maschinen und legt die geeigneten Maßnahmen zur Beseitigung oder Minderung der Risiken fest, die sich aus den signifikanten Gefährdungen ergeben.
Konstruktion aufgrund von Straßenverkehrsvorschriften ist nicht durch dieses Dokument abgedeckt.
Dieses Dokument behandelt nicht:
- Konstruktion in Verbindung mit Straßenverkehrsvorschriften;
- Gefährdungen, die aus dem Einsatz der Maschinen in explosionsgefährdeten Umgebungen, der Aufbereitung explosiver Materialien und durch Risiken in Bezug auf elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit entstehen;
- spezifische Gefährdungen in Verbindung mit mobilen Maschinen.
ANMERKUNG 3 EN ISO 13766 1 und EN ISO 13766 2 legen Prüfverfahren und Abnahmekriterien zur Bewertung der elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit für alle Arten mobiler Baumaschinen fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Maschinen, die vor dem Datum der Veröffentlichung dieses Dokuments durch CEN hergestellt wurden.

Machines pour le traitement mécanique des minéraux et des matières solides similaires - Sécurité - Partie 1 : Prescriptions communes pour les machines et installations pour le traitement des matériaux

Le présent document s'applique aux machines pour le traitement mécanique des minéraux (ciment, chaux et plâtre, sable et gravier, minéraux industriels, minerais métallifères, granulats de roche dure et tendre, charbon) et aux sous-produits (scories et cendres, déchets de production et de démolition) en construction et dans l'industrie.
Le présent document traite des types suivants de machines individuelles pour le traitement mécanique des minéraux et des matières solides similaires :
-   les machines d'alimentation conformément à l'EN 1009-2 ;
-   les machines de concassage conformément  à l'EN 1009-3 ;
-   les machines de broyage conformément  à l'EN 1009-3 ;
-   les machines de criblage conformément  à l'EN 1009-4 ;
-   les machines de nettoyage, de recyclage de l'eau, de triage (autre que calibrage) et de traitement des boues conformément  à l'EN 1009-5 ;
-   les machines mobiles conformément au prEN 1009-6.
Le présent document donne les exigences communes de sécurité relatives aux machines de traitement mécanique utilisées pour l'extraction, le recyclage et le traitement des minéraux et sous-produits (ciment, chaux et plâtre, sable et gravier, minéraux industriels, minerais métallifères, déchets de production et de démolition, manutention des scories, granulats de roche dure et tendre, charbon) en construction et exploitation minière à ciel ouvert, et est destiné à être utilisé conjointement avec les parties de l'EN 1009-2 au prEN 1009−6. Ces parties (EN 1009-2 au prEN 1009-6) qui sont spécifiques aux différentes machines ne reprennent pas les exigences du présent document, mais en ajoutent ou en remplacent certaines applicables au type de machine correspondant.
NOTE 1   Les exigences spécifiées dans la présente partie du EN 1009 sont communes à deux types de machines ou plus pour le traitement mécanique des minéraux et des matières solides similaires.
Les exigences spécifiques de l'EN 1009 2 au prEN 1009-6 prennent le pas sur les exigences correspondantes du présent document.
NOTE 2   Le prEN 1009-6 "Prescriptions spécifiques pour machines mobiles" est en préparation pour couvrir les prescriptions spécifiques (par exemple, mobilité, freinage, accès, transport fréquent), y compris les exceptions et prescriptions supplémentaires pour les équipements mobiles et semi mobiles. Cela signifie que les machines mobiles ne sont pas couvertes tant que l'EN 1009-6 ne sera pas publiée par le CEN.
Le présent document couvre également la combinaison d’au moins deux machines mentionnées, qui fonctionnent comme un ensemble intégré. Le présent document traite des phénomènes dangereux significatifs communs aux types de machines répertoriées dans ce domaine d'application quand elles sont utilisées normalement et en cas de mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisible par le fabricant (voir l'Annexe F) et aux phénomènes dangereux dus à la combinaison de ces machines, et spécifie les mesures appropriées pour éliminer ou réduire les risques dus aux phénomènes dangereux significatifs.
La conception concernant les réglementations routières n'est pas prise en considération dans le présent document.
Le présent document ne couvre pas :
-   la conception concernant les réglementations routières ;
-   les phénomènes dangereux dus à l'utilisation des machines en atmosphères potentiellement explosives, ainsi qu'au traitement de matériaux explosifs, et les risques associés à la compatibilité électromagnétique;
