EN ISO 21487:2006

Small craft - Permanently installed petrol and diesel fuel tanks (ISO 21487:2006)

ISO 21487:2006 establishes requirements for design and test of petrol and diesel fuel tanks for internal combustion engines that are intended to be permanently installed in small craft of up to 24 m length of hull.
For installation requirements, ISO 10088 applies.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen an die Konstruktion und die Prüfung von fest eingebauten Ottokraftstoff- und Dieselkraftstofftanks für Verbrennungsmotoren auf kleinen Wasserfahrzeugen mit einer Rumpflänge bis 24 m fest.
Für Anforderungen an die Installation ist ISO 10088 anzuwenden.

L'ISO 21487:2006 spécifie des exigences de conception et d'essais des réservoirs à carburant à essence et diesel pour les moteurs à combustion interne et qui sont destinés à être installés à demeure sur des bateaux d'une longueur de coque inférieure ou égale à 24 m.
L''ISO 10088 s'applique concernant les exigences d'installation.

"Small craft" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS T01 "Shipbuilding and maritime
structures", the secretariat of which is held by CMC.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2007, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by June 2007.

This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission
and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).

Relationship between this standard and the Essential
Requirements of EU Directive 94/25/EC amended by EU Directive
2003/44/EC

This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission
and the European Free Trade Association to provide one means of conforming to Essential
Requirements of the New Approach Directive 94/25/EC amended by EU Directive 2003/44/EC.

Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and
has been implemented as a national standard in at least one member state, compliance with the
normative clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of this
standard, a presumption of conformity with the relevant Essential Requirements of that Directive
and associated EFTA regulations.
