This document specifies three procedures to test the service life of a blast-cleaning abrasive under laboratory conditions.
The performance of an abrasive is also measured by its ability to clean, via transmission of kinetic energy to the substrate in the blasting process. This document also specifies the procedures that can be performed in the same testing machines to help evaluate abrasive performance under laboratory conditions.
This document applies to the testing of virgin metallic blasting media in the delivery state by centrifugal blasting under laboratory conditions.

Vorbereitung von Stahloberflächen vor dem Auftragen von Beschichtungsstoffen - Prüfverfahren für metallische Strahlmittel - Teil 9: Verschleißprüfung und Leistungsfähigkeit (ISO 11125-9:2021)

Dieses Dokument legt drei Verfahren zur Prüfung der Lebensdauer von Strahlmitteln unter Labor-bedingungen festgelegt.
Die Leistung eines Strahlmittels wird auch durch seine Fähigkeit bestimmt, die Oberfläche während des Strahlverfahrens durch Übertragung von kinetischer Energie zu reinigen. Außerdem werden in diesem Dokument die Verfahren festgelegt, die in den gleichen Prüfmaschinen durchgeführt werden können, um die Strahlmittelleistung unter Laborbedingungen besser bewerten zu können.
Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für die Prüfung von ungebrauchten metallischen Strahlmitteln im Auslieferungszustand durch Zentrifugalstrahlen unter Laborbedingungen.

Le présent document spécifie trois modes opératoires pour évaluer la durée de vie d’un abrasif destiné à la préparation par projection dans des conditions de laboratoire.
Les performances d’un abrasif sont également mesurées par son aptitude à décaper, via une transmission de l’énergie cinétique au subjectile au cours du processus de projection. Le présent document spécifie également les modes opératoires qui peuvent être réalisés sur les mêmes machines d’essai pour aider à évaluer les performances d’un abrasif dans des conditions de laboratoire.
Le présent document s’applique à l’essai d’abrasifs métalliques fournis à l’état «neuf» par projection par force centrifuge dans des conditions de laboratoire.

Na splošno se preverja učinek obrabe in poraba. Za določene preskusne postopke je morda potrebna posebna priprava. The text of ISO 11125-9:2021 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints and
varnishes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
EN ISO 11125-9:2022 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2022, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
