This document identifies the essential welding quality related tasks and responsibilities included in welding coordination.
The principle of an assessment according to this document is that welding coordination personnel need to be competent in the welding-related tasks allocated to them.
It is presumed that welding coordination personnel have the necessary education, qualifications and experience and are appointed by the manufacturer.
Regulatory documents, application standards and contracts can give specific requirements for welding coordination personnel. Otherwise, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to determine the requirements to be in compliance with this document.
Schweißaufsicht - Aufgaben und Verantwortung (ISO 14731:2019)
Dieses Dokument legt die wesentlichen mit der Schweißqualität zusammenhängenden Aufgaben und die Verantwortung, die die Schweißaufsicht umfasst, fest.
Als Beurteilungsgrundsatz nach diesem Dokument gilt, dass das Schweißaufsichtspersonal für die ihm zugewiesenen schweißtechnischen Aufgaben kompetent sein muss.
Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass das Schweißaufsichtspersonal die erforderliche Ausbildung, die erforderlichen Qualifikationen und Erfahrung hat und vom Hersteller benannt ist.
Rechtsvorschriften, Anwendungsstandards und Verträge können besondere Anforderungen für das Schweißaufsichtspersonal ergeben. Im Übrigen ist es die Verantwortung des Herstellers, die Anforderungen nach diesem Dokument festzulegen.

Le présent document identifie les tâches et responsabilités essentielles relatives à la qualité en soudage et qui entrent dans le cadre de la coordination en soudage.
Le principe d'une évaluation selon le présent document est que le personnel de coordination en soudage doit être compétent dans les tâches liées au soudage qui lui sont attribuées.
Il est présumé que le personnel de coordination en soudage possède la formation, les qualifications et l'expérience nécessaires et qu'il est nommé par le fabricant.
Les documents réglementaires, les normes d'application et les contrats peuvent donner des exigences particulières pour le personnel de coordination en soudage. Dans le cas contraire, il incombe au fabricant de déterminer les exigences à respecter pour se conformer au présent document.

Ta dokument opredeljuje osnovne, s kakovostjo varjenja povezane naloge in odgovornosti, ki so vključene v koordinacijo varilnih del.
Načelo ocenjevanja v skladu s tem dokumentom je, da mora biti osebje za koordinacijo varilnih del usposobljeno za z varjenjem povezane naloge, ki so jim dodeljene.

This document (EN ISO 14731:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2019, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 14731:2006.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
