Railway applications - Rescue coupler - Performance requirements, specific interface geometry and test methods

This European Standard specifies the requirements for the rescue coupler for train sets compliant with the Technical Specification for Interoperability High Speed Rolling Stock. It defines the interfaces to which it has to match during rescue operations. It is suitable for locomotives fitted with UIC 520 pattern draw gear and buffers, i.e. moveable draw hook and draw gear capable of compressive loading. )
Provisions going beyond the scope of this European Standard need to be agreed upon by the contracting parties involved.

Bahnanwendungen - Abschleppkupplung - Leistungsanforderungen, spezifische Schnittstellengeometrie und Prüfverfahren

Diese Europäische Norm definiert die Anforderungen an die Abschleppkupplung von Zügen, die der Technischen Spezifikation für die Interoperabilität von Hochgeschwindigkeitsfahrzeugen entsprechen. Sie legt ihre Schnittstellenbedingungen für den Abschleppbetrieb fest. Sie ist geeignet für Lokomotiven mit Zug- und Stoßeinrichtungen nach UIC 520, d. h. mit beweglichem Zughaken und druckbeanspruchungstauglicher Zug- und Stoßeinheit. )
Über den Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm hinausgehende Bestimmungen sind von den Vertragsparteien zu regeln.

Applications ferroviaires - Attelage de secours - Exigences concernant la performance, la géométrie des interfaces et les méthodes d'essai

La présente Norme européenne fixe des exigences concernant les attelages de secours des rames couvertes par la Spécification Technique d’Interopérabilité relative au matériel roulant à grande vitesse. Elle définit les interfaces  auxquelles ils doivent correspondre pendant les opérations de secours. Elle convient aux locomotives équipées d’organes de chocs et de traction respectant la fiche UIC 520, c'est-à-dire possédant un crochet mobile et un appareil de traction supportant un chargement en compression )
Les dispositions qui dépassent le domaine d’application de la présente Norme européenne doivent faire l’objet d’un accord conclu par les parties contractantes intéressées.
