Roller sports equipment - Roller skates - Safety requirements and test methods

This standard applies to roller skates intended for users with a body mass of more than 20 kg. This standard specifies safety requirements for roller skates, specifications for test methods, marking and information supplied by the manufacturer to reduce the risk of injuries to both third parties and the user during their normal use. Roller skates for use by a rider of less than 20 kg does not belong to the scope of this European Standard. They are covered by EN 71-1. This standard does not apply to inline-skates.

Diese Norm gilt für Rollschuhe, die für Benutzer mit einem Körpergewicht von mehr als 20 kg vorgesehen sind. Diese Norm legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an Rollschuhe fest und Festlegungen für Prüfverfahren, Kenn-zeichnung und Benutzerinformation, die bei bestimmungsgemäßer Anwendung die Verletzungsgefahr für Dritte und die Benutzer verringern sollen. Rollschuhe für einen Läufer von weniger als 20 kg gehören nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm. Sie werden durch EN 71-1 erfaßt. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Inline-Skates.

Equipements de sport à roulettes - Patins à roulettes - Exigences de sécurité et méthodes d'essai

La présente norme s'applique aux patins à roulettes destinés aux utilisateurs dont le poids est supérieur à 20 kg. La présente norme spécifie les exigences de sécurité relatives aux patins à roulettes, les spécifications relatives aux méthodes d'essai, le marquage et les informations fournies par le fabricant afin de réduire le risque de blessures pouvant toucher les tiers ou l'utilisateur en cours d'utilisation normale. Les patins à roulettes destinés à être utilisés par un patineur dont le poids est inférieur à 20 kg n'entrent pas dans le domaine d'application de la présente Norme européenne. Ils sont traités dans l'EN 71-1. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux patins en ligne.
