Curtain walling - Product standard

This European Standard specifies characteristics of curtain walling and provides technical information on the varying performance requirements which apply throughout Europe and the test criteria and sequence of testing to which the product is subjected, in order to demonstrate conformity. Reference is made to other European Standards related to the performance and testing of curtain walling and, where appropriate, attention is drawn to European Standards which relate to products incorporated into curtain walling.
This standard applies to curtain walling ranging from a vertical position to 15° from the vertical, onto the building face. It can include elements of sloping glazing contained within the curtain wall.
Curtain walling is not a product which can be completed in all respects within a manufacturing area, but is a series of components and/or prefabricated units which only become a finished product when assembled together on site.
This standard is applicable to the whole of the curtain walling, including the flashings, closures and copings.

Vorhangfassaden - Produktnorm

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften des Vorhangfassadenproduktes fest und bestimmt die technischen Daten der in Europa gültigen unterschiedlichen Leistungsanforderungen sowie Prüfkriterien und -abläufe, denen das Produkt unterworfen ist, um die Übereinstimmung darzulegen. Sie legt langfristig die Erhaltung der wesentlichen Eigenschaften fest. Bezüglich der Ausführung und Prüfung der Vorhangfassade wird auf andere Europäischen Normen verwiesen, und falls zutreffend, auf Europäische Normen, die mit den in Vorhangfassaden eingebauten Produkten in Beziehung stehen.

Façades rideaux - Norme de produit

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques des façades rideaux et donne  des informations techniques sur les différentes exigences de performances applicables à l'ensemble de l'Europe, ainsi que sur les critères d'essai et la séquence d'essai auxquels le produit est soumis afin de démontrer sa conformité. Elle fait référence à d'autres normes européennes relatives aux performances et aux essais des façades rideaux et, le cas échéant, attire l'attention sur les normes européennes traitant des produits incorporés dans la façade rideau.
La présente norme s'applique à des façades rideaux variant de la position verticale à une position inclinée de 15° par rapport à la verticale une fois posée sur le bâtiment. Elle peut inclure des éléments de vitrage inclinés incorporés à l'intérieur de la façade rideau.
Une façade rideau n'est pas un produit qui peut être fini sous tous ses aspects au sein d'une unité de fabrication, mais il s'agit d'une série de composants et/ou de sous-ensembles préfabriqués qui ne forment un produit fini qu'une fois assemblés sur le site.
La présente norme s'applique à l'intégralité de la façade rideau, y compris les bavettes, les couvre-joints et les couvertines.
