ISO 21809-5:2010 specifies the requirements for qualification, application, testing and handling of materials required for the application of reinforced concrete coating externally to either bare pipe or pre-coated pipe for use in pipeline transportation systems for the petroleum and natural gas industries as defined in ISO 13623.
ISO 21809-5:2010 is applicable to concrete thicknesses of 25 mm or greater.

L'ISO 21809-5:2010 spécifie les exigences relatives à la qualification, à l'application, aux essais et à la manutention des matériaux requis pour l'application d'un revêtement externe en béton armé sur des tubes en acier nus ou prérevêtus, utilisés dans les systèmes de transport par conduites pour les industries du pétrole et du gaz naturel tels que définis dans l'ISO 13623.
L'application externe de béton est principalement utilisée pour empêcher la flottabilité des tubes utilisés dans les systèmes de conduites enterrées et immergées et/ou pour la protection mécanique du tube et de son prérevêtement.
L'ISO 21809-5:2010 s'applique aux épaisseurs de béton supérieures ou égales à 25 mm.

Ta del ISO 21809 opredeljuje zahteve za kvalifikacijo, uporabo, preskušanje in ravnanje z materiali, ki so potrebni za uporabo ojačanih betonskih prevlek zunaj, bodisi za gole cevi bodisi za predhodno premazane cevi, ki se uporabljajo v sistemih cevovodnega transporta pri naftni industriji in industriji zemeljskega plina, kot je opredeljeno v ISO 13623. Zunanja uporaba betona je predvsem namenjena negativnemu vzgonu cevi, ki se uporabljajo za sisteme cevovoda, zakopane v zemljo ali potopljene v vodo in/ali za mehansko zaščito cevi ter njihovih predhodnih premazov. This document (EN ISO 21809-5:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 67 "Materials,
equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries" in collaboration
with Technical Committee ECISS/TC 110 “Steel tubes, and iron and steel fittings” the secretariat of which is
held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2010.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
