Respiratory protective devices - Fresh air hose breathing apparatus for use with full face mask, half mask or mouthpiece assembly - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for fresh air hose breathing apparatus for use with a full face mask, a half mask or mouthpiece assembly as a respiratory protective device.  Two classes of apparatus are covered; the differentiation resulting from mechanical performance and not respiratory protection.  Escape and diving apparatus and that used in abrasive blasting operations are not covered by this standard.    Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm enthält Mindestanforderungen für Frischluft-Schlauch- geräte als Atemschutzgerät, die in Verbindung mit einer Vollmaske, Halbmaske oder Mundstückgarnitur verwendet werden. Zwei Geräteklassen sind vorgesehen, wobei der Unterschied in der mechanischen Ausführung und nicht im Atemschutz liegt. Flucht- und Tauchgeräte sowie Geräte, die bei Strahlarbeiten eingesetzt werden, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm. Die Norm enthält Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen, um die Übereinstimmug mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.

La présente norme européenne fixe les exigences minimales des appareils de protection respiratoire à air libre utilisés avec masques complets, demi-masques ou ensembles embouts buccaux en tant qu'appareils de protection respiratoire. Deux classes d'appareils sont couvertes, la différenciation étant fonction des performances mécaniques et non pas de la protection respiratoire offerte.  Les appareils destinés à l'évacuation, à la plongée et ceux utilisés dans les opérations de projection d'abrasifs ne sont pas couverts par cette norme.
