Thermal insulating products for building applications - Determination of behaviour under point load

This European Standard specifies equipment and procedures for determining the behaviour of products under a force applied to a small area of a test specimen at a given speed. It is applicable to thermal insulating products. The standard can be used to determine whether the products have sufficient strength to withstand forces applied directly to them either during installation or during application, mainly caused by pedestrian traffic.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfeinrichtungen und Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Verhaltens von Produkten unter einer Belastung fest, die auf einen kleinen Bereich eines Probekörpers mit vorgegebener Geschwindigkeit aufgebracht wird. Sie gilt für Wärmedämmstoffe. Die Norm kann angewendet werden, um zu bestimmen, ob die Produkte eine ausreichende Festigkeit haben, um Belastungen standzuhalten, die entweder bei der Montage oder bei der Anwendung, im wesentlichen durch Begehen verursacht, direkt auf sie einwirken.

La présente norme européenne spécifie l'équipement et les procédures pour la détermination du comportement de produits sous une charge appliquée sur une petite surface de l'éprouvette à une vitesse donnée. Elle est applicable aux produits isolants thermiques. La norme peut être utilisée pour déterminer si les produits ont une résistance suffisante pour supporter des charges appliquées directement pendant leur installation ou pendant l'utilisation, charges principalement causées par le traffic pédestre.
