Paints and varnishes - Reactive coatings for fire protection of metallic substrates - Definitions, requirements, characteristics and marking

This European Standard relates to reactive coating systems intended to provide fire protection to metallic based structural members, including various grades and types of steel. Reactive coating systems may comprise the reactive coating component alone and/or that component used in conjunction with associated primers, topcoats and, if applicable, reinforcement. It covers the characterization of such systems in end use conditions.
NOTE   Fundamental to proving the suitability of any reactive coating system to provide fire protection to any metallic substrate is its fire resistance performance determined in accordance with CEN fire resistance test methods, which are currently EN 13381-6, EN 13381-8 and prEN 13381-9. Consequently, the scope of application and fire performance of any reactive protection system is limited by the scope of available and applicable published CEN fire test methods.
The European Standard sets out the performance criteria, the verification methods used to examine the various aspects of performance, the assessment criteria used to judge the performance for the intended use and the presumed conditions for the design and execution of the reactive coating system in the works.
It deals with the compatibility of the reactive coating component with various primers and topcoats, and a reactive coating system's durability in a number of different service and end use conditions. Specifically, it provides a process for establishing 'generic' primer compatibility and acceptable topcoats for use with a given reactive component layer without prejudicing the reactive coating systems fire performance.
The European Standard also provides guidelines for the manufacture, storage, application, maintenance and repair of the reactive coating system and the final inspection of its installation in end use.
This European Standard does not specify the required level  ) of a given property to be achieved by a product to demonstrate fitness for purpose in a particular application. This European Standard establishes the route for generic primer approval and the use of specific top-coats with which the reactive coating may carry the CE mark.
This European Standard provides guidelines for the manufacture, storage, application, maintenance and repair of the reactive coating system and final inspection of works.

Beschichtungsstoffe - Reaktive Beschichtungen für den Brandschutz metallischer Substrate - Begriffe, Einteilung, Eigenschaften und Bezeichnung

Diese Europäische Norm bezieht sich auf reaktive Beschichtungssysteme, die als Brandschutz von metalli¬schen tragenden Bauteilen vorgesehen sind, einschließlich verschiedener Stahlsorten. Reaktive Beschich¬tungssysteme können aus der reaktiven Beschichtung allein und/oder aus dieser Beschichtung in Verbindung mit zugehörigen Grundierungen, Deckbeschichtungen und, falls zutreffend, Bewehrung bestehen. Sie behan¬delt die Charakterisierung dieser Systeme unter den Bedingungen der Endanwendung.
ANMERKUNG   Der nach CEN-Prüfverfahren (zum gegenwärtigen Zeitpunkt sind das EN 13381 6, EN 13381 8 und EN 13381 9) bestimmte Feuerwiderstand liefert die Grundlage zum Nachweis der Eignung von reaktiven Beschich-tungssystemen, die zum Brandschutz von metallischen Substraten vorgesehen sind. Folglich werden Anwendungs-bereich und Brandverhalten von reaktiven Schutzsystemen durch den Anwendungsbereich der vorhandenen und ver-öffentlichten CEN-Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Feuerwiderstands begrenzt.
Die Europäische Norm legt die Leistungskriterien sowie die Verifizierungsverfahren zur Untersuchung der ver-schiedenen Aspekte der Leistungsfähigkeit, die Bewertungskriterien zum Beurteilen der Leistung für den vor-gesehenen Verwendungszweck und die vorausgesetzten Bedingungen für die Planung und Ausführung des reaktiven Beschichtungssystems im Werk fest.
Sie behandelt die Verträglichkeit der reaktiven Beschichtung mit verschiedenen Grundierungen und Deckbe-schichtungen sowie die Haltbarkeit eines reaktiven Beschichtungssystems bei einer Reihe unterschiedlicher Einsatz- und Endanwendungsbedingungen. Insbesondere liefert sie ein Verfahren, mit dem die allgemeine Verträglichkeit von Grundierungen und zulässigen Deckschichten zur Verwendung mit einer vorgegebenen reaktiven Beschichtung bestimmt wird, ohne dass das Brandverhalten der reaktiven Beschichtungssysteme beeinträchtigt wird.
Diese Europäische Norm liefert außerdem Leitlinien für die Herstellung, Lagerung, Anwendung, Instandhal¬tung und Instandsetzung des reaktiven Beschichtungssystems sowie die Endkontrolle am Einsatzort unter Endanwendungsbedingungen.
Diese Europäische Norm legt nicht die erforderliche Leistungsstufe oder Klassifizierung ) einer bestimmten Eigenschaft fest, die ein Produkt erreichen muss, um seine Gebrauchstauglichkeit für eine bestimmte Anwen-dung nachzuweisen. Diese Europäische Norm legt die Strategie für die Anerkennung spezifischer Grundierungen und die Anwendung bestimmter Deckbeschichtungen fest, in Verbindung mit denen die reaktive Beschichtung das CE-Kennzeichen tragen darf.
Diese Europäische Norm liefert Leitlinien für die Herstellung, Lagerung, Anwendung, Instandhaltung und In-standsetzung des reaktiven Beschichtungssystems sowie die Endkontrolle des Werks.

Peintures et vernis - Revêtements réactifs pour la protection contre l'incendie des subjectiles métalliques - Définitions, classification, caractéristiques et marquage

La présente Norme européenne traite des systèmes de revêtement réactif destinés à protéger contre l’incendie les éléments de construction à base de métal, notamment différents types et qualités d’acier. Les systèmes de revêtement réactif peuvent être constitués du composant de revêtement réactif seul et/ou de ce composant combiné aux primaires, couches de finition et, le cas échéant, renforcement appropriés. La présente norme couvre la caractérisation de ces types de systèmes dans les conditions d’utilisation finale.
NOTE   La performance de résistance au feu déterminée conformément aux méthodes d’essai de résistance au feu du CEN, qui sont actuellement l’EN 13381-6, l’EN 13381-8 et le prEN 13381-9, est essentielle pour démontrer l’aptitude de tout système de revêtement réactif à protéger un subjectile métallique contre l’incendie. En conséquence, le domaine d’application et la performance au feu de tout système de protection réactive sont fonction du domaine d’application des méthodes d’essai au feu publiées par le CEN qui sont disponibles et applicables.
La présente Norme européenne stipule les critères de performance, les méthodes de vérification appliquées pour examiner les divers aspects de performance, les critères d’évaluation utilisés afin de juger la performance pour l’utilisation prévue et les conditions estimées pour la conception et l’exécution du système de revêtement réactif dans les travaux.
Elle traite de la compatibilité du composant du revêtement réactif avec différents primaires et couches de finition, ainsi que de la durabilité d’un système de revêtement réactif dans diverses utilisations et conditions d’utilisation finale. En particulier, elle décrit un processus permettant d’établir la compatibilité avec des primaires « génériques » et des couches de finition acceptables, destinés à être utilisés avec une couche de composant réactif donnée sans compromettre la performance au feu du système de revêtement réactif.
La présente Norme européenne donne également des lignes directrices pour la fabrication, le stockage, l’application, la maintenance et la réparation du système de revêtement réactif et l’inspection finale de sa mise en oeuvre en conditions d’utilisation finale.
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas le niveau ou la classe de performance requis  ) d’une propriété donnée qu’un produit doit atteindre pour démontrer son aptitude à l’emploi dans une application particulière. La présente Norme européenne établit le cheminement pour l’agrément d’un primaire générique et l’utilisation de couches de finition spécifiques grâce auxquels le revêtement réactif peut porter le marquage CE.
La présente Norme européenne donne des lignes directrices pour la fabrication, le stockage, l’application, la maintenance et la réparation du système de revêtement réactif et l’inspection finale des travaux.

Barve in laki - Reaktivni premazi za požarno zaščito kovinskih podlag - Definicije, zahteve, karakteristike in označevanje

Ta evropski standard se uporablja za reaktivne premazne sisteme za požarno zaščito konstrukcijskih elementov s kovinsko podlago, vključno z različnimi razredi in vrstami jekla ter aluminija. Reaktivni premazni sistemi lahko vključujejo eno samo reaktivno premazno komponento in/ali to komponento v povezavi z ustreznimi osnovnimi premazi, vrhnjimi premazi in (če je ustrezno) z armaturo. Zajema karakterizacijo takšnih sistemov v pogojih končne uporabe.
OPOMBA: Podlaga za ugotavljanje primernosti izbranega reaktivnega premaznega sistema za zagotavljanje požarne zaščite katere koli kovinske podlage je njegova požarna odpornost, opredeljena v skladu z metodami preskušanja požarne odpornosti CEN, ki jih trenutno vključujejo standardi EN 13381-6, EN 13381-8 in prEN 13381-9. Posledično so področje uporabe in požarne lastnosti katerega koli reaktivnega zaščitnega sistema omejene s področjem objavljenih razpoložljivih in uporabnih požarnih preskusnih metod CEN. Evropski standard določa merila učinkovitosti, metode za preverjanje različnih vidikov učinkovitosti, merila za presojo učinkovitosti za predvideno uporabo ter predvidene pogoje za zasnovo in izvedbo reaktivnega premaznega sistema pri delu. Obravnava združljivost reaktivne premazne komponente z različnimi osnovnimi in vrhnjimi premazi ter trajnost reaktivnega premaznega sistema v več različnih načinih uporabe in pogojih končne uporabe. Zagotavlja predvsem postopek za ugotavljanje združljivosti »generičnega« osnovnega premaza in sprejemljive vrhnje premaze za uporabo z določenim slojem reaktivne komponente brez vpliva na požarne lastnosti reaktivnih premaznih sistemov.
Evropski standard vključuje tudi smernice za izdelavo, shranjevanje, uporabo, vzdrževanje in popravilo reaktivnega premaznega sistema ter za končni pregled njegove namestitve in končne uporabe.
Ta evropski standard ne določa zahtevane ravni 1) določene lastnosti, ki jo mora izdelek doseči, da se dokaže njegova primernost za predvideni namen pri posameznem načinu uporabe. Ta evropski standard zagotavlja način za odobritev generičnega osnovnega premaza in uporabo posebnih vrhnjih premazov, s katerimi lahko reaktivni premaz pridobi oznako CE.
