The intent of ISO 10318-1:2015 is to define terms related to functions, products, properties, and other terms used in EN and ISO geosynthetics standards. Definitions of terms not included in ISO 10318-1:2015 can be found in the International Standards describing appropriate test methods.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Begriffe fest, bezogen auf Funktion, Produkte, Eigenschaften und andere Begriffe sowie Symbole die auf Geo¬kunststoffen aufgebracht werden. Definitionen von Begriffen, die nicht in dieser Norm enthalten sind, können in Normen festgelegt sein, die entsprechende Prüfverfahren beschreiben.
ANMERKUNG Zusätzlich zu den Begriffen in Englisch und Französisch (zwei der drei offiziellen ISO- Sprachen), gibt diese Norm die entsprechenden Begriffe in Deutsch an; diese werden in der Verantwortung der Deutschen Mitgliedsorganisation (DIN) veröffentlicht. Nur Begriffe in den offiziellen Sprachen können als ISO Begriffe angesehen werden.

L'objectif de l'ISO 10318-1:2015 est de définir les termes relatifs aux fonctions, aux produits et aux propriétés, ainsi que d'autres termes utilisés dans les normes EN et ISO géosynthétiques. Les définitions de termes non incluses dans l'ISO 10318-1:2015, peuvent être trouvées dans les Normes internationales qui décrivent les méthodes d'essai correspondantes.

Ta standard opredeljuje izraze, povezane s funkcijami, proizvodi in lastnostmi, ter druge izraze in simbole, ki se uporabljajo v geosintetiki. Definicije izrazov, ki niso vključeni v tem standardu, so lahko podane v ustreznih standardih za preskusne metode.
Opomba: Avtorji standarda ISO/TC 221 so njegovo vsebino ločili na dva dela.

Foreword
This document (EN ISO 10318-1:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee
ISO/TC 221 “Geosynthetics” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 189 “Geosynthetics” the
secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2015, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2015.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 10318:2005.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech

Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf wird den CEN-Mitgliedern zur parallelen formellen Abstimmung vorgelegt. Er wurde vom Technischen
Komitee CEN/TC 189 erstellt.
Wenn aus diesem Norm-Entwurf eine Europäische Norm wird, sind die CEN-Mitglieder gehalten, die CEN-Geschäftsordnung zu erfüllen, in
der die Bedingungen festgelegt sind, unter denen dieser Europäischen Norm ohne jede Änderung der Status einer nationalen Norm zu
geben ist.
Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf wurde vom CEN in drei offiziellen Fassungen (Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch) erstellt. Eine Fassung in
einer anderen Sprache, die von einem CEN-Mitglied in eigener Verantwortung durch Übersetzung in seine Landessprache gemacht und
dem Management-Zentrum des CEN-CENELEC mitgeteilt worden ist, hat den gleichen Status wie die offiziellen Fassungen.
CEN-Mitglieder sind die nationalen Normungsinstitute von Belgien, Bulgarien, Dänemark, Deutschland, der ehemaligen jugoslawischen

den Niederlanden, Norwegen, Österreich, Polen, Portugal, Rumänien, Schweden, der Schweiz, der Slowakei, Slowenien, Spanien, der
Tschechischen Republik, der Türkei, Ungarn, dem Vereinigten Königreich und Zypern.
Die Empfänger dieses Norm-Entwurfs werden gebeten, mit ihren Kommentaren jegliche relevante Patentrechte, die sie kennen, mitzuteilen
und unterstützende Dokumentationen zur Verfügung zu stellen.
