Railway applications - Braking - Brake pad holder

The requirements contained in this European Standard apply to the brake pad holders with which the rail vehicles of main-line railways, regional and suburban railways are fitted. Brake pad holders pursuant to this standard are to be made from ferrous materials e.g. cast iron, cast steel or forged steel. Brake pad holders made of non-ferrous materials are not subject of this standard.

Die in dieser Europäischen Norm enthaltenen Anforderungen gelten für Bremsbelaghalter für Schienen-fahrzeuge des öffentlichen Verkehrs sowie für Privatbahnen (Regionalbahnen, Werksbahnen). Bremsbelag-halter, die dieser Norm entsprechen, können aus Grau- bzw. Stahlguss oder aus geschmiedetem Stahl sein. Bremsbelaghalter, die aus Nichteisen-Werkstoffen bestehen, werden in dieser Norm nicht behandelt.

Les exigences contenues dans la présente Norme européenne s'appliquent aux porte-garnitures de freins qui équipent les véhicules ferroviaires utilisés par les réseaux principaux nationaux, les réseaux urbains, métropolitains, les tramways et les réseaux privés (chemins de fer régionaux, compagnies privées, etc.). Les porte-garnitures de freins conformes à la présente norme peuvent être en fonte, en acier moulé ou en acier forgé. Les porte-garnitures de freins en matériaux non ferreux ne relèvent pas de la présente norme.
