This European Standard specifies the laboratory test methods and test requirements for the testing of aerodynamic, thermal and acoustic performance, and the electrical power of an un-ducted mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation unit used in a single room.
The purpose of this European Standard is not to consider the quality of ventilation but to test the performance of the equipment.
In general, a ventilation unit contains:
- supply and exhaust air fans;
- air filters;
- air to air heat exchanger or air storage mass for exhaust air heat and humidity recovery;
- control system;
- inlet and outlet grilles.
Such equipment can be provided in more than one assembly, the separate assemblies of which are designed to be used together.
Such equipment can contain alternating heat exchangers which provide separate supply and exhaust air flows.
In certain cases, i.e. alternating ventilation unit, the manufacturer may recommend that the equipment can be installed in such a way that it serves more than one room. For the purpose of this European Standard, these products are assessed in a single room.
This European Standard does not deal with ducted units or units with heat pumps.
Safety requirements are given in EN 60335 2 80:2003 [2].

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Laborverfahren und die Anforderungen an die Prüfung des aero¬dyna-mischen, thermischen und akustischen Leistungsverhaltens sowie der elektrischen Leistung einer mecha-nischen Zuluft- und Fortlufteinheit ohne Luftführung in einem einzelnen Raum fest.
Der Zweck der vorliegenden Norm besteht nicht in der Feststellung der Qualität der Lüftung, sondern in der Prüfung der Leistung der Ausrüstung.
Im Allgemeinen besteht eine Lüftungseinheit aus:
Zuluft- und Fortluftventilatoren;
Luftfiltern;
Luft/Luft-Wärmeübertragern oder Luftspeichermasse für die Wärme- und Luftfeuchterückgewinnung aus der Fortluft;
Regel- und Steuereinrichtung;
Einlass- und Austrittsluftgitter.
Eine derartige Ausrüstung kann in mehr als einer Baugruppe geliefert werden, wobei die einzelnen Bau¬grup-pen für die gemeinsame Verwendung ausgelegt sind.
Eine derartige Ausrüstung kann Umschalt-Wärmeübertrager mit getrennten Zuluft- und Fortluftströmen um¬fas-sen.
In bestimmten Fällen, d. h. bei einer Umschalt-Lüftungseinheit, darf der Hersteller die Empfehlung abgeben, dass die Ausrüstung so eingebaut wird, dass sie mehr als einen Raum versorgt. Für die Anwendung dieser Norm werden die entsprechenden Produkte in einem einzelnen Raum bewertet.
Einheiten mit Luftführung oder mit Wärmepumpen werden in dieser Europäischen Norm nicht behandelt.
Die Sicherheitsanforderungen sind in EN 60335-2-80:2003 [2] angegeben.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les méthodes d’essai de laboratoire et les exigences correspondantes pour la détermination des performances aérauliques, thermiques et acoustiques ainsi que de la puissance électrique d’une unité de soufflage et d’extraction non raccordée prévue pour une pièce.
L’objet de la présente Norme européenne n’est pas d’estimer la qualité de la ventilation mais de mesurer la performance de l’équipement.
D’une manière générale, une unité de ventilation comprend :
- des ventilateurs de soufflage et d’extraction d'air ;
- des filtres à air ;
- un échangeur thermique air/air ou un stockage d'air pour la récupération de chaleur et d’humidité de l’air évacué ;
- un système de commande ;
- des grilles d'entrée et de sortie.
Cet équipement peut se composer de plusieurs assemblages conçus pour être utilisés ensemble.
Cet équipement peut contenir des échangeurs de chaleur alternatifs fournissant des flux d'air de soufflage et d’extraction séparés.
Dans certains cas, c’est-à-dire unité de ventilation alternative, le fabricant peut recommander que l’équipement soit installé de façon à ce qu’il desserve plus d’une pièce. Pour l’application de la présente Norme européenne, ces produits sont évalués dans une pièce.
La présente Norme européenne ne traite pas des bouches raccordées ou équipées de pompes à chaleur.
Les exigences de sécurité sont données dans l’EN 60335-2-80:2003 [2].

Standard EN 13141-8 določa laboratorijske preskusne metode ter preskusne zahteve za preskušanje aerodinamičnih, toplotnih in akustičnih lastnosti ter električno napajanje brezkanalne dovodne in odvodne prezračevalne enote za posamezne prostore. Ta evropski standard ni namenjen obravnavanju kakovosti prezračevanja, ampak preskušanju lastnosti opreme. Prezračevalna enota na splošno zajema: – dovodne in odvodne zračne ventilatorje; – zračne filtre; – zračni toplotni prenosnik ali maso za skladiščenje zraka za rekuperacijo toplote in vlage iz odvodnega zraka; – nadzorni sistem; – dovodne in odvodne rešetke. Taka oprema se lahko zagotovi v več sestavih, pri čemer so ločeni sestavi oblikovani tako, da se uporabljajo skupaj. Taka oprema lahko zajema izmenične toplotne izmenjevalnike, ki zagotavljajo ločena pretoka dovodnega in odvodnega zraka. V nekaterih primerih, tj. pri izmenični prezračevalni enoti, lahko proizvajalec priporoča, da se oprema namesti tako, da prezračuje več prostorov. Za namen tega evropskega standarda se ti izdelki ocenijo v enem samem prostoru. Ta evropski standard ne obravnava kanalnih enot ali enot s toplotnimi črpalkami.
