ISO 3994:2007 specifies the requirements for three types of helical-thermoplastic-reinforced thermoplastics hoses for suction and discharge of water, weak aqueous chemical solutions and abrasive solids and slurries, for use in the ambient temperature range from -10 °C to +55 °C.
The three types of hose are for light-, medium- and heavy-duty applications.
The types of hoses covered in the standard are not intended for use with flammable or combustible materials, nor with aromatic solvents.
NOTE Hoses of a similar construction for suction and discharge for fire-fighting are specified in ISO 14557, Fire-fighting hoses — Rubber and plastics suction hoses and hose assemblies.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen fest für drei Arten von thermoplastischen Schläuchen verstärkt mit einer Thermoplastischen Wendel zum Ansaugen und Fördern von Wasser, verdünnten wässrigen Chemikalienlösungen und abrasiven Feststoffen und Schlämmen für den Gebrauch in einem Umgebungstemperaturbereich von −10 °C bis +55 °C. Diese drei Arten von Schläuchen sind anwendbar für leichte, mittlere und schwere Beanspruchungen Die in dieser Internationalen Norm enthaltenen Schlaucharten sind nicht bestimmt für die Verwendung mit entflammbaren und brennbaren Materialien, auch nicht mit aromatischen Lösungsmitteln. ANMERKUNG Schläuche mit ähnlichem Aufbau zum Ansaugen und Fördern für die Feuerbekämpfung sind in ISO 14557 Fire-fighting hoses - Rubber and plastics suction hoses and hose assemblies festgelegt.
Tuyaux en plastiques - Tuyaux thermoplastiques à renforcement thermoplastique en spirale pour aspiration et refoulement de matières aqueuses - Spécifications (ISO 3994:2007)
L'ISO 3994:2007 spécifie les exigences pour trois types de tuyaux thermoplastiques à renforcement thermoplastique en spirale pour aspiration et refoulement d'eau, de solutions chimiques aqueuses faibles et de solides abrasifs et en suspension, pour une utilisation dans une plage de températures allant de − 10 °C à + 55 °C.
Les trois types de tuyaux sont prévus pour des applications légères, moyennes et lourdes. Ils ne sont pas prévus pour une utilisation avec des matériaux inflammables et combustibles, ni avec des solvants aromatiques.

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za tri vrste s termoplastično spiralo ojačenih termoplastičnih cevi za sesanje in odvajanje vode, šibkih vodnih kemičnih raztopin in abrazivnih trdnih in tekočih zmesi, ki se uporabljajo v območju okoljske temperature med 10 °C in 55 °C. Tri vrste cevi so namenjene uporabi pri lahki, srednji in težki obremenitvi. Vrste cevi, ki jih zajema ta mednarodni standard, niso primerne za uporabo z vnetljivimi ali gorljivimi materiali in z aromatskimi topili.

EN ISO 3994:2011 (E) 3 Foreword The text of ISO 3994:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and rubber products” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 3994:2011 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies” the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2011. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
