Cranes - Loader cranes - Interface between loader cranes and work platforms

This document gives technical information for dual purpose machines that comply with both EN 12999:2011+A2:2018 and EN 280:2013+A1:2015 and deals with the specific aspects related to the fitting and interface of a work platform that is an interchangeable equipment to the base machine.
Loader cranes which are equipped with work platforms as interchangeable equipment are regarded as Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) as defined in 3.1 of EN 280:2013+A1:2015 and are classified as Group B Type 1 as specified in 1.4 of EN 280:2013+A1:2015 and are listed under Annex IV, item 17 of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
This document does not address hazards which may occur:
a)   when handling suspended work platforms which may swing freely;
b)   when using non-integrated work platforms or other attachments not intended for the lifting of persons.

Dieses Dokument enthält technische Informationen für kombinierte Maschinen nach EN 12999:2011+A2:2018 und nach EN 280:2013+A1:2015, und behandelt die besonderen Aspekte in Zusammenhang mit der Montage und dem Anschluss einer Arbeitsbühne, die ein austauschbares Arbeitsgerät der Hauptmaschine darstellt.
Ladekrane, die mit Arbeitsbühnen in Form von austauschbaren Arbeitsgeräten versehen sind, werden nach EN 280:2013+A1:2015, 3.1 als fahrbare Hubarbeitsbühnen (FHAB) bezeichnet, in Gruppe B, Typ 1 nach EN 280:2013+A1:2015, 1.4 eingestuft und unter Punkt 17 im Anhang IV der Maschinen-richtlinie 2006/42/EG aufgeführt.
Dieses Dokument enthält keine Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Gefährdungen, die entstehen können:
a)   durch das Befördern hängender Arbeitsbühnen, die frei pendeln können;
b)   durch die Benutzung von nicht integrierten Arbeitsbühnen oder anderen nicht für die Personen-beförderung bestimmten Einrichtungen.

Le présent document fournit des informations techniques sur les machines à double usage qui sont conformes à la fois à l’EN 12999:2011+A2:2018 et à l’EN 280:2013+A1:2015, et il traite des aspects spécifiques liés au raccordement et à l’interface d’une plate-forme de travail, qui est un équipement interchangeable, avec la machine de base.
Les grues de chargement qui sont équipées de plates-formes de travail en tant qu’équipements interchangeables sont considérées comme des plates-formes élévatrices mobiles de personnel (PEMP) telles que définies en 3.1 de l’EN 280:2013+A1:2015, sont classées dans le Groupe B Type 1 comme spécifié en 1.4 de l’EN 280:2013+A1:2015 et figurent dans l’Annexe IV, article 17 de la Directive Machines 2006/42/CE.

This European Standard is applicable to the design, information for use, maintenance and testing of power driven winches for which the prime mover is an electric motor, hydraulic motor, internal combustion motor or pneumatic motor. They are designed for the lifting and lowering of loads which are suspended on hooks or other load handling devices or for the lifting and lowering of loads on inclined planes or the exclusive pulling of loads on planes which are normally horizontal.
NOTE   Within the period of utilization, the place of use of a winch may be variable.
As a rule, a winch is used without any additional transport movement.
This European Standard is applicable to the following types of winch:
a)   rope winches;
b)   chain winches;
c)   belt winches, except steel belts used as hoisting media;
d)   traction winches.
These types of winches a) to d) also include the following specific applications:
-   vehicle recovery winches;
-   winches on boat trailers;
-   forestry winches;
-   winches for stationary offshore applications;
-   winches for drilling applications;
-   winches to be used exclusively for the pulling of loads.
NOTE   Examples are shown in Annex A.
This European Standard does not apply to:
-   power-driven hoists in accordance with EN 14492-2;
-   winches for seagoing vessels and mobile offshore units;
-   winches for the lifting of persons;
-   NGL building hoists in accordance with EN 14492-2;
-   winches for the handling of hot molten masses (risk covered by EN 14492-2).
The significant hazards covered by this European Standard are identified in Clause 4.

This document specifies design, type test methods, marking and instruction requirements for cylinder valves with integrated pressure regulators (VIPRs) intended to be fitted to gas cylinders, pressure drums or tubes or used as a main valve for bundles of cylinders that convey compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases.
These are requirements for VIPRs that are in addition to those given in the relevant closure standard, for example, in ISO 10297 for cylinder valves, in ISO 17871 for quick-release cylinder valves, in ISO 17879 for self-closing cylinder valves or in ISO 23826 for ball valves. For ISO 17871, these requirements are only applicable to quick-release cylinder valves types B, C, D and E.
NOTE 1        If the pressure regulating system of a VIPR is acting as the primary valve operating mechanism, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826. This also includes designs where closure of the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is obtained by closing the seat of the pressure regulating system.
NOTE 2        If the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is located at the low-pressure side of the pressure regulating system, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826.
NOTE 3        The term “pressure receptacle” is used within this document to cover instances where no differentiation is necessary between gas cylinders, bundles of cylinders, pressure drums and tubes.
This document does not apply to VIPRs for
a)       medical applications (see ISO 10524-3);
b)       liquefied petroleum gas (LPG);
c)        cryogenic applications.
