Petroleum and natural gas industries - Drilling and production equipment - Subsurface barrier valves and related equipment (ISO 28781:2010)

ISO 28781:2010 provides the requirements for subsurface barrier valves and related equipment as they are defined herein for use in the petroleum and natural gas industries. Included are the requirements for design, design validation, manufacturing, functional evaluation, repair, redress, handling and storage. Subsurface barrier valves provide a means of isolating the formation or creating a barrier in the tubular to facilitate the performance of pre- and/or post-production/injection operational activities in the well.
The subsurface barrier valve is not designed as an emergency or fail-safe flow controlling safety device.
ISO 28781:2010 does not cover installation and maintenance, control systems such as computer systems, and control conduits not integral to the barrier valve. Also not included in ISO 28781:2010 are products covered under ISO 17078, ISO 16070, ISO 14310, ISO 10432, ISO 10423 and the following products: downhole chokes, wellhead plugs, sliding sleeves, casing-mounted flow-control valves, injection valves, well-condition-activated valves or drill-stem test tools. ISO 28781:2010 does not cover the connections to the well conduit.

L'ISO 28781:2010 prescrit les exigences relatives aux vannes de barrage de subsurface et l'équipement associé définis ci-après et destinés à être utilisés dans les industries du pétrole et du gaz naturel. Le présent document contient les exigences de conception, de validation de la conception, de fabrication, d'évaluation fonctionnelle, de réparation, de remise en état, de manutention et de stockage. Les vannes de barrage de subsurface permettent d'isoler la formation ou la création d'un barrage dans l'élément tubulaire afin de faciliter les performances des activités opérationnelles pré- et/ou post-production/injection dans le puits.
La vanne de barrage de subsurface n'est pas conçue comme un dispositif de sûreté d'urgence ou sur défaut de contrôle du débit.
L'ISO 28781:2010 ne couvre pas l'installation et la maintenance, les systèmes de contrôle (les systèmes informatiques, par exemple) et les conduits de commande qui ne sont pas intégrés dans la vanne de barrage. De même, ne sont pas concernés les produits couverts par les normes ISO 17078, ISO 16070, ISO 14310, ISO 10432, ISO 10423 ainsi que les produits suivants: les fonds de trou, les bouchons de tête de puits, les manchons coulissants, les vannes de réglage du débit montées sur enveloppe, les vannes d'injection, les vannes actionnées dans la condition du puits ou les outils d'essai de la garniture de forage. L'ISO 28781:2010 ne couvre pas les connexions au conduit de puits

Ta mednarodni standard zagotavlja zahteve za podpovršinske zaporne ventile in podobno opremo, kot so opredeljeni v nadaljnjem besedilu, za uporabo v industriji za predelavo nafte in zemeljskega plina. Vključuje zahteve za oblikovanje, potrditev oblike, izdelavo, oceno delovanja, popravilo, obnovitev, pakiranje in shranjevanje. Podpovršinski zaporni ventili zagotavljajo način izolacije sestava ali postavitve zapore v cevi za olajšanje delovanja predproizvodnih in/ali poproizvodnih/brizgalnih operativnih dejavnostih v jašku.

This document (EN ISO 28781:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 67 "Materials,
equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries" in collaboration
with Technical Committee CEN/TC 12 “Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum,
petrochemical and natural gas industries” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by February 2011.
