Earth-moving machinery - Safety - Part 2: Requirements for tractor-dozers
This document together with FprEN 474 1:2021 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to tractor-dozers when used as intended and under the conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Annex A) associated with the whole lifetime of the machine as described in EN ISO 12100:2010, 5.4.
The following significant and relevant hazards are not covered in this document:
- Laser;
- Lightning.
The requirements of this document are complementary to the common requirements formulated in FprEN 474-1:2021. This document does not repeat the requirements from FprEN 474-1:2021 but supplement or modify the requirements for tractor-dozers.
This document does not provide requirements for main electrical circuits and drives of machinery when the primary source of energy is an external electrical supply.
This document does not provide performance requirements for safety related functions of control system(s).
This document does not deal with towing of trailers.
This document does not deal with demolition machinery.
This part also deals with fork application, log handling application, single heavy object handling application and lifting operation application.
This document is not applicable to tractor-dozers which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.
Erdbaumaschinen - Sicherheit - Teil 2: Anforderungen für Planiermaschinen
Diese Europäische Norm legt die allgemeinen Sicherheitsanforderungen für Planiermaschinen, wie in EN ISO 6165:2012 definiert, fest.
Dieser Teil behandelt auch den Einsatz mit Gabelzinken, den Einsatz mit schweren Einzellasten, den Hebebetrieb und den Einsatz mit Baumklammer.
Die Anforderungen gelten ergänzend zu den allgemeinen Anforderungen der prEN 474-1:2017.
Dieser Teil wiederholt nicht die Anforderungen der prEN 474-1:2017, sondern ergänzt oder ersetzt diese für den Einsatz von Planiermaschinen.
Diese Europäische Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf Erdbaumaschinen zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter vorhersehbaren Bedingungen verwendet werden, aber auch unter Berücksichtigung einer vernünftigerweise vorhersehbaren Fehlanwendung (siehe Abschnitt 4). Die entsprechenden Maßnahmen, um die Risiken, die von den signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignissen während des gesamten vorhersehbaren Lebenszyklus der Erdbaumaschine ausgehen, zu minimieren, sind in dieser Europäischen Norm beschrieben.

Le présent document associé au FprEN 474-1:2021 traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs, situations dangereuses et événements se rapportant aux bouteurs, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés normalement et dans les conditions prévues, mais en tenant également compte des mauvais usages raisonnablement prévisibles (voir Annexe A), associés à toute la durée de vie de l'engin, comme décrit dans l'EN ISO 12100:2010, 5.4.
Les phénomènes dangereux significatifs et pertinents suivants ne sont pas couverts par le présent document :
- laser ;
- foudre.
Les prescriptions du présent document viennent en complément des prescriptions communes présentées dans le FprEN 474-1:2021. Le présent document ne répète pas les prescriptions du FprEN 474-1:2021 mais complète ou modifie les prescriptions pour les bouteurs.
Le présent document ne spécifie aucune prescription relative aux circuits électriques principaux et aux commandes des engins lorsque la principale source d'énergie est une alimentation électrique externe.
Le présent document ne spécifie aucune prescription de performance relative aux fonctions de sécurité du (des) système(s) de commande.
Le présent document ne traite pas des remorques attelées à un véhicule.
Le présent document ne traite pas des engins de démolition.

Introduction
This part of prEN 474 is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100.
The machinery concerned and the extent, to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are
covered, is indicated in the scope of this European Standard.When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B
standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other
standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C
standard.1 Scope
This European Standard specifies the general safety requirements for tractor-dozers, described in
EN ISO 6165:2012.This part also deals with fork application, single heavy object handling application, object handling
application and log handling.The requirements of this part are complementary to the common requirements formulated in
prEN 474-1:2017.This part does not repeat the requirements from prEN 474-1:2017, but adds or replace the
requirements for application for tractor-dozers.This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to
earth-moving machinery, when used as intended and under conditions foreseen but also taking into
