Slurry surfacing - Test methods - Part 3: Consistency
This European Standard specifies a test method for determining a consistency of slurry surfacing mixtures.
NOTE 1 The method can be used as a mix design aid to determine the amount of water required to form a stable, workable mixtu-re.
NOTE 2 To obtain the correct consistency, it can be necessary to repeat the test with different known percentages of water.
This European Standard applies to slurry surfacings for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung der Konsistenz von dünnen
Asphaltschichten in Kaltbauweise.
ANMERKUNG 1 Das Verfahren kann für die Mischungsrezeptur verwendet werden, um die für die Herstellung eines
verarbeitbaren Mischgutes von Bitumenschlämmen benötigte Wassermenge zu bestimmen.
ANMERKUNG 2 Um die Konsistenz genau zu ermitteln, kann die Wiederholung der Prüfung mit unterschiedlichen
Wasseranteilen erforderlich sein.
Diese Norm gilt für dünne Asphaltschichten in Kaltbauweise von Straßen, Flugplätzen und anderen Verkehrs-flächen.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode d'essai pour la détermination de la consistance des mélanges de matériaux bitumineux coulés à froid.
NOTE 1 La méthode peut être utilisée comme aide à la conception des mélanges pour déterminer la quantité d'eau nécessaire à la formation d'un mélange stable, exploitable.
NOTE 2 Pour obtenir la consistance correcte, il peut être nécessaire de répéter l'essai avec différentes proportions d'eau connues.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux matériaux bitumineux coulés à froid pour les routes, terrains d'aviation et autres zones de trafic.

secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by July 2002, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by
June 2004.
