Metallic and other inorganic coatings - Electroplated coatings of zinc with supplementary treatments on iron or steel (ISO 2081:2018)

ISO 2081:2018 specifies requirements for electroplated coatings of zinc with supplementary treatments on iron or steel. It includes information to be supplied by the purchaser to the electroplater, and the requirements for heat treatment before and after electroplating.
ISO 2081:2018 is not applicable to zinc coatings applied
-      to sheet, strip or wire in the non-fabricated form,
-      to close-coiled springs, or
-      for purposes other than protective or decorative.
ISO 2081:2018 does not specify requirements for the surface condition of the basis metal prior to electroplating with zinc. However, defects in the surface of the basis metal can adversely affect the appearance and performance of the coating.
The coating thickness that can be applied to threaded components can be limited by dimensional requirements, including class or fit.

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an galvanisch abgeschiedene Zinküberzüge auf Eisenwerkstoffen mit zusätzlicher Behandlung fest. Es enthält Informationen, die der Auftraggeber dem galvanischen Betrieb geben muss, sowie Anforderungen an die Wärmebehandlung vor und nach der galvanischen Metallabschei-dung.
Es gilt nicht für Zinküberzüge
-   auf Blechen, Bändern oder Draht in unbearbeiteter Form,
-   auf engspiraligen Federn oder
-   für andere Zwecke als zum Korrosionsschutz oder zur Dekoration.
Dieses Dokument legt keine Anforderungen an die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Grundmetalls vor der galvanischen Zinkabscheidung fest. Fehler in der Oberfläche des Grundmetalls können jedoch das Aussehen und die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von Zinküberzügen ungünstig beeinflussen.
Die auf Verbindungselemente mit Gewinde aufzubringende Schichtdicke kann durch Abmessungsanfor-derungen, wie Klasse oder Passung, begrenzt sein.

ISO 2081:2018 spécifie les exigences applicables aux dépôts électrolytiques de zinc avec traitements supplémentaires sur le fer ou l'acier. Il inclut les informations à fournir par l'acheteur à l'électroplaste, ainsi que les exigences relatives au traitement thermique avant et après dépôt électrolytique.
ISO 2081:2018 n'est pas applicable aux revêtements de zinc appliqués:
-      sur tôles, feuillards ou fils à l'état non façonné;

Ta dokument določa zahteve za galvanske cinkove prevleke z dodatno obdelavo na železu in jeklu. Zajema informacije, ki jih mora kupec dostaviti izdelovalcu galvanske prevleke, in zahteve za prevleke za toplotno obdelavo pred in po galvanizaciji.
Ne uporablja se za cinkove prevleke:
– za pločevine, trakove ali žice v nepredelani obliki,
– za vijačne vzmeti ali
– za uporabe, katerih namen ni zaščita ali okrasitev.
Ta dokument ne določa zahtev za stanje površine osnovne kovine pred galvanizacijo s cinkom. Vendar pa defekti na površini osnovne kovine lahko negativno vplivajo na videz in učinkovitost prevleke.

This document (EN ISO 2081:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 107 "Metallic
and other inorganic coatings" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 262 “Metallic and
other inorganic coatings, including for corrosion protection and corrosion testing of metals and alloys”
the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2018, and conflicting national standards
