Metallic materials - Knoop hardness test - Part 3: Calibration of reference blocks (ISO 4545-3:2005)

ISO 4545-3:2005 specifies the method for the calibration of reference blocks to be used for the indirect verification of Knoop hardness testing machines as specified in ISO 4545-2.
The method is applicable only for indentations with long diagonals greater than or equal to 0,020 mm.

In diesem Teil von ISO 4545 ist das Verfahren für die Kalibrierung von Härtevergleichsplatten festgelegt, die bei der indirekten Prüfung von Härteprüfmaschinen nach Knoop entsprechend ISO 4545 2 eingesetzt werden. Das Verfahren ist nur auf Eindrücke mit langen Diagonalen ³ 0,020 mm anwendbar.

L'ISO 4545-3:2005 spécifie la méthode pour l'étalonnage des blocs de référence à utiliser pour la vérification indirecte des machines d'essai de dureté Knoop conformément à l'ISO 4545-2.
La méthode s'applique uniquement pour les empreintes de longue diagonale supérieure ou égale à 0,020 mm.

This document (EN ISO 4545-3:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 164
"Mechanical testing of metals" in collaboration with Technical Committee ECISS/TC 1 "Steel -
Mechanical testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2006, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2006.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
