Space product assurance - Measurement of the peel and pull-off strength of coatings and finishes using pressure-sensitive tapes

This European Standard details a test in which pressure-sensitive tapes are used to assess the suitability of, for example, coatings, paints, films and other thin materials, proposed for use on spacecraft and associated equipment.
The following materials and assemblies are covered by this test method:
-   organic coating, e.g. varnishes, paints and plastic films;
-   metallic finishes on, for example, printed circuit boards, second-surface mirrors, thermal radiators, plastic films;
-   adhesive layers;
-   composite thin films;
-   small assemblies, e.g. solar cells having attached glass covers.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren fest, bei dem mit Haftbändern die Eignung von Überzügen, Anstrichen, dünnen Beschichtungen und anderen Werkstoffen, die zur Anwendung in der Raumfahrt vorgesehen sind, bewertet wird.
Folgende Werkstoffe und Verbindungen können mit diesem Verfahren untersucht werden:
¾ organische Beschichtungen (z. B. Lacke, Anstriche und Kunststoffüberzüge);
¾ metallische Überzüge auf Leiterplatten, Zweitflächenspiegeln, Temperaturstrahlern und metallisierten Kunst-stofffolien;
¾ Klebverbindungen;
¾ Dünnschichtverbundstoffe;
¾ kleinere Bauteile (z. B. Solarzellen mit Glasdeckeln).

La présente Norme européenne présente en détails une méthode d'essai pour laquelle des rubans auto-adhésifs servent à évaluer l'aptitude des revêtements, peintures, films et autres matériaux minces destinés à être utilisés sur le satellite et ses équipements associés.
La méthode d'essai concerne les matériaux et ensembles suivants :
¾ revêtement organique, par exemple, vernis, peintures et films plastiques ;
¾ finitions métalliques sur des circuits imprimés, des SSM (couches thermo-optiques), des radiateurs thermiques, des films plastiques, par exemple ;
¾ couches adhésives ;
¾ films minces composites ;
¾ petits ensembles comme, par exemple, des cellules solaires reliées par des fixations à des protections verre.
