Safety for conveyor belts for winter sport or tourist use
This European Standard is applicable for travelators, with or without a tunnel, for winter sport or leisure use.
These requirements are applicable to travelators for the transport of persons (either passengers or operators) wearing snow-sliding devices, or pedestrians wearing ski boots or heavy boots who may be holding their snow-sliding devices, for winter sports activities. For other uses, the persons (whether passengers or operators) shall wear suitable (enclosed and solid) footwear for travelators.
NOTE Snow-sliding devices include seated ski equipment for handicapped people.
This document has been prepared on the basis of the automatic operation of these installations with no staff permanently present at the actual installation.
It covers requirements relating to the prevention of accidents and the safety of operators.
This document covers all the significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events specific to travelators for winter sport or leisure activities, when they are used in conformity to the application for which they are intended as well as for inappropriate applications that could be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
This document does not apply either to moving walkways as specified in EN 115 or to loading bands as specified in EN 1907.
This document does not apply to travelators manufactured prior to the date of its publication as an EN.

Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für Bandförderer mit oder ohne Überdachung zur Ausübung von Wintersport- oder Freizeitaktivitäten.
Diese Anforderungen gelten für Bandförderer zur Beförderung von Personen (Benutzer oder Bedienpersonal) zusammen mit ihrer Gleitsportausrüstung und für Fußgänger mit Skischuhen oder festem Schuhwerk für Wintersportaktivitäten. Im Fall einer anderen Nutzung sind die Personen (Benutzer oder Bedienpersonal) mit Schuhwerk ausgestattet (geschlossene und feste Schuhe), die für Bandförderer geeignet sind. Die Norm sieht vor, dass Bandförderer von Kindern unter 5 Jahren nur in Begleitung oder in betreuten Gruppen benutzt werden.
Dieses Dokument wurde auf der Grundlage eines automatischen Betriebs dieser Anlagen ohne ständige Anwesenheit von Personal in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bandförderers ausgearbeitet.
Es enthält Anforderungen zur Unfallverhütung und zum Schutz der Benutzer und des Bedienpersonals.
Das vorliegende Dokument behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefähr¬dungsereignisse, die für Bandförderer für Wintersport- und Freizeitaktivitäten spezifisch sind, wenn diese bestimmungsgemäß gebraucht werden sowie bei Fehlanwendung, wenn diese für den Hersteller vernünftigerweise vorhersehbar ist (siehe Abschnitt 4).
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für Fahrsteige nach EN 115 1:2017 und Fahrgastförderbänder als Einstiegshilfe nach EN 1907:2017.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für Bandförderer, die vor dem Datum seiner Veröffentlichung als Europäische Norm hergestellt wurden.

Ce document s’applique aux tapis roulants, avec ou sans galerie, pour les activités de sports d’hiver ou de loisirs.
Ces prescriptions concernent les tapis roulants assurant le transport de personnes (utilisateurs ou opérateurs) solidaires de leurs engins de glisse sur neige, de piétons chaussés de chaussures de skis ou de grosses chaussures pouvant tenir leurs engins de glisse à la main, pour les activités de sports d’hiver. Dans le cas d'une autre utilisation, les personnes (utilisateurs ou opérateurs) doivent être munies de chaussures adaptées (chaussures fermées et solides) aux tapis roulants.
NOTE Les engins de glisse incluent le matériel de ski assis pour handicapés.
Ce document est élaboré sur la base d’une exploitation automatique de ces appareils sans opérateur présent en permanence directement sur l'installation.
Il comprend des prescriptions relatives à la prévention des accidents et à la protection des opérateurs.
Le présent document traite tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations et évènements dangereux significatifs spécifiques aux tapis roulants, pour les activités de sports d'hiver ou de loisirs, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés conformément à l'usage pour lequel ils ont été prévus ainsi que dans des cas de mauvaises utilisations qui peuvent être raisonnablement prévisibles par le constructeur (voir Article 4).
Ce document ne s'applique ni aux trottoirs roulants définis dans l'EN 115 ni aux tapis d'embarquement définis dans l'EN 1907.
Ce document n'est pas applicable aux tapis roulants qui ont été fabriqués avant sa date de publication comme EN.
