Metallic materials - Tube - Ring expanding test

This European Standard specifies a method for a ring expanding test on tubes, that is used to reveal defects both on the surfaces and within the tube wall by expanding the test piece using a drift until fracture occurs. It may also be used to assess the ability of tubes to undergo plastic deformation. The ring expanding test is applicable to tubes having an outside diameter from 18 up to and including 150mm and wall thickness from 2 up to and including 16mm.

In dieser Europäischen Norm ist ein Verfahren für den Ringaufdornversuch an Rohren festgelegt, um Fehler an der Oberfläche und im Querschnitt von Rohren zu erkennen, indem die Probe unter Verwendung eines Dorns soweit aufgeweitet wird, bis sie zu Bruch geht. Die Prüfung kann auch zur Bestimmung der plastischen Umformbarkeit von Rohren verwendet werden. Der Ringaufdornversuch ist auf Rohre anwendbar, die einen Aussendurchmesser von 18 bis einschliesslich 150mm und Wanddicken von 2 bis einschliesslich 16mm haben.

La présente norme européenne spécifie une méthode d'essai de dilation d'anneaux prélévés sur des tubes, visant à déceler, grâce à un mandrin qui dilate une éprouvette jusqu'à la rupture, les défauts superficiels et internes. Cette méthode sert également à estimer l'aptitude à la déformation plastique. L'essai de dilatation d'anneaux s'applique à des tubes de diamètre extérieur compris entre 18 et 150mm inclus, et d'épaisseur comprise entre 2 et 16mm inclus.
