This European Standard specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture, identification and testing of battery vehicles and multiple-element gas containers (MEGCs) containing cylinders, tubes or bundles of cylinders. It is applicable to battery vehicles containing compressed gas, liquefied gas and mixtures thereof. It is also applicable to battery vehicles for dissolved acetylene. This European Standard is not applicable to toxic gases with an LC50 value less than or equal to 200 ml/m3.
This European Standard applies also to battery vehicles and MEGCs containing bundles of cylinders connected by a manifold which are dis-assembled from the battery vehicle and filled individually.
This European Standard does not apply to battery vehicles and MEGCs containing pressure drums or tanks, or to multi-element gas containers (MEGCs).
This European Standard does not specify requirements for the vehicle chassis or motive unit.
This European standard does not cover requirements for sea transportation.
This European Standard is primarily intended for industrial gases other than Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG). At the time of publication of this European Standard, there is no European Standard for dedicated LPG battery vehicles.
Where there is any conflict between this European Standard and any applicable regulation, the regulation always takes precedence.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Auslegung, Herstellung, Kennzeichnung und Prüfung von Batterie Fahrzeugen und Gascontainern mit mehreren Elementen (MEGCs) fest, welche Flaschen, Gro߬flaschen oder Flaschenbündel enthalten. Sie gilt für Batterie Fahrzeuge, die verdichtete oder verflüssigte Gase sowie deren Gemische enthalten. Sie gilt auch für Acetylen Batterie Fahrzeuge. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für giftige Gase mit einem LC50 Wert kleiner oder gleich 200 ml/m3.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt auch für Batterie Fahrzeuge und MEGCs, die Flaschenbündel enthalten, welche durch eine Sammelleitung miteinander verbunden sind und die vom Batterie Fahrzeug demontiert und einzeln befüllt werden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Batterie Fahrzeuge und MEGCs, die Druckfässer oder Tanks enthalten, oder für Gascontainer mit mehreren Elementen (MEGCs).
Diese Europäische Norm legt keine Anforderungen für das Fahrgestell oder die Antriebseinheit fest.
Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Anforderungen für die Beförderung auf See.
Diese Europäische Norm ist in erster Linie für andere Industriegase als Flüssiggas (LPG) vorgesehen. Zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung dieser Europäischen Norm besteht keine Europäische Norm zu speziell für Flüssiggas (LPG) vorgesehenen Batterie Fahrzeugen
Sofern irgendein Widerspruch zwischen dieser Europäischen Norm und jeglicher anwendbaren Rechts-vorschrift besteht, hat immer die Rechtsvorschrift Vorrang.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences relatives à la conception, à la fabrication, à l'identification et aux essais des véhicules-batteries et des conteneurs à gaz à éléments multiples (CGEM) contenant des bouteilles, des tubes ou des cadres de bouteilles. Elle s'applique aux véhicules-batteries contenant du gaz comprimé, du gaz liquéfié et des mélanges de ces gaz. Elle s'applique également aux véhicules-batteries pour acétylène dissous. La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux gaz toxiques ayant une valeur CL50 inférieure ou égale à 200 ml/m3.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique également aux véhicules-batteries et aux conteneurs à gaz à éléments multiples (CGEM) contenant des cadres de bouteilles reliés par une rampe qui sont démontés du véhicule-batterie et remplis individuellement.
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux véhicules-batteries contenant des fûts à pression ou citernes, ni aux conteneurs à gaz à éléments multiples (CGEM).
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas d'exigences relatives au châssis du véhicule ou à l'unité motrice.
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre pas les exigences relatives au transport maritime.
La présente Norme européenne est destinée principalement aux gaz industriels autres que les gaz de pétrole liquéfiés (GPL). À la date de publication de la présente Norme européenne, il n'existe pas de Norme européenne pour des véhicules-batteries dédiés au GPL.
En cas de conflit entre la présente Norme européenne et toute réglementation applicable, la réglementation prévaut toujours.

Uporablja se za baterijska vozila in plinske vsebnike iz več elementov, ki vsebujejo stisnjen plin, utekočinjen plin ali mešanice teh plinov. Uporablja se tudi za baterijska vozila za raztopine acetilena.
