ISO 18542-2:2014 specifies:
- the technical requirements that must be met by the Terminology Management system (TMS) that will be used to manage and store the 'Agreed RMI Terminology';
- the requirements for the Registration Authority (RA) (i.e. the agency responsible for maintaining and publishing the 'Agreed RMI Terminology').

ISO 18542 ist in zwei Teile untergliedert:
   Teil 1 „General information and use case definition“ — in diesem Teil sind ein Rahmen und ein Prozess für die Festlegung von Benennungen festgelegt;
   Teil 2 „Standardized process implementation requirements, Registration authority“ — in diesem Teil werden die Anforderungen an die Prozessimplementierung für ein Terminologiemanagementsystem und für eine Registrierungsstelle mit einem digitalen Anhang festgelegt.
Der Hauptzweck der Teile 1 und 2 vonder Normenreihe ISO 18542 ist es, unabhängige Marktteilnehmer bei der Suche auf RMI -Websites von Fahrzeugherstellern zu unterstützen.
Dieser Teil der ISO 18542 legt fest:
   die technischen Anforderungen fest, die von dem Terminologiemanagementsystem [TMS] erfüllt werden müssen, das für die Verwaltung und Speicherung der festgelegten RMI-Terminologie eingesetzt wird;
   die Anforderungen an die Registrierungsstelle [RA] (d. h. die Stelle, die für die Pflege und Veröffentlichung der festgelegten RMI-Terminologie verantwortlich ist) fest;
Der Rahmen und der Prozess für die Erarbeitung festgelegter Terminologie ist Gegenstand von ISO 18542 -1.
Die Zielgruppe von Teil 2dieses Teils von ISO 18542 sind technische Fachkräfte, insbesondere jene, die für die Implementierung des Mandats M/421 verantwortlich sind.

L'ISO 18542-2:2014 spécifie:
?   les exigences techniques qui doivent être satisfaites par le Système de Gestion Terminologique (SGT) qui sera utilisé pour gérer et enregistrer la «terminologie RMI convenue»;
?   les exigences relatives à l'Autorité d'Enregistrement (AE) (c'est-à-dire l'organisme responsable de la maintenance et de la publication de la «terminologie RMI convenue»).

EN ISO 18542-2 je sestavljen iz dveh delov: - 1. del: Splošna informacija in definicija primera uporabe: določa okvir in proces za dogovarjanje o pogojih - 2.del: Standardizirane zahteve za izvajanje procesa, registracijski organ: določa zahteve za izvajanje procesa za sistem vodenja terminologije in za registracijski organ z digitalnim dodatkom. Namen serije ISO 18542 je neodvisnim izvajalcem olajšati iskanje spletnih mest o informacijah o popravilu in vzdrževanju avtomobilov (RMI) proizvajalca vozila. Ta del standarda ISO 18542 določa: - tehnične zahteve, ki jih mora izpolnjevati sistem vodenja terminologije, ki bo uporabljen za upravljanje in shranjevanje dogovorjene terminologije RMI; - zahteve za registracijski organ (npr. agencijo, ki je odgovorna za ohranjanje in objavo dogovorjene terminologije RMI). Okvir in procesi za oblikovanje dogovorjene terminologije so določeni v standardu ISO 18542-1. Ciljna publika tega dela ISO 18542-2 so tehnični upravljavci, zato se osredotoča na odgovorne za izvajanje mandata M/421.

This document (EN ISO 18542-2:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 301 “Road
vehicles”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR, in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 22
“Road vehicles”.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2014.
