Aerospace series - Method of preparation of forged samples
This document defines the requirements for the preparation of forged test samples.
Unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order, or inspection schedule, this document shall be applied when referenced in the relevant EN material standard or EN technical specification.
This document applies to round products of ≥ 20 mm diameters or other shapes of equivalent cross-section.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen für die Herstellung von Schmiedeprüfteilen fest.
Sofern in der Zeichnung, Bestellung oder in der Prüfanweisung nichts anderes festgelegt ist, muss dieses Dokument angewendet werden, wenn in der relevanten EN-Werkstoffnorm oder technischen Lieferbedingung einer EN darauf verwiesen wird.
Dieses Dokument gilt für runde Produkte mit einem Durchmesser von ≥ 20 mm oder für andere Formen mit einem äquivalenten Querschnitt.

Le présent document s’applique aux produits ronds de ≥ 20 mm de diamètre ou autres formes de section transversale équivalentes.

Če ni na risbi, v naročilu ali v razporedu pregledov navedeno drugače, je treba ta dokument uporabljati, kadar se nanj sklicuje določilo v ustreznem standardu EN za materiale ali tehnični specifikaciji EN. Ta dokument se uporablja za okrogle izdelke s premerom ≥ 20 mm ali druge oblike z enakovrednim prečnim prerezom.

This document (EN 2957:2019) has been prepared by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association
of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN).
After enquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of this Association, this Standard has
received the approval of the National Associations and the Official Services of the member countries of
ASD, prior to its presentation to CEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2020, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by March 2020.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
