Safety of woodworking machines - Circular sawing machines - Part 3: Down cutting cross-cut saws and dual purpose down cutting cross-cut saws/circular saw benches
This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events as listed in Clause 4 which are relevant to down cutting cross-cut saws and dual purpose down cutting cross-cut saws/circular saw benches, herein after referred to as "machines", designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard, plywood and also these materials where they are covered with plastic edging and/or plastic/light alloy laminates when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer including reasonably foreseeable misuse.
NOTE 1 For the definition of down cutting cross-cut saws and dual purpose down cutting cross -cut saws/circular saw benches, see 3.2.2, 3.2.3 and 3.2.4, and for the definition of displaceable machine, see 3.2.8.
This document does not apply to:
- machines for cross cutting logs;
- hand-held motor-operated electric tools or any adaptation permitting their use in a different mode, i.e. bench mounting;
NOTE 2 Hand-held motor-operated electric tools and saw benches to form an integrated whole with a hand-held motor-operated electric tools are covered by EN 60745-1:2009 together with EN 60745-2-5:2010.
- transportable machines set up on a bench or a table similar to a bench, which are intended to carry out work in a stationary position, capable of being lifted by one person by hand i.e. maximum mass ≤ 25 kg.
NOTE 3 Transportable motor-operated electric tools are covered by the requirements of EN 61029-1:2009 together with EN 61029-2-9:2009 and EN 61029-2-11:2009.
This document is not applicable to down cutting cross-cut saws and dual purpose down cutting cross-cut saws/circular saw benches which are manufactured before the date of its publication as European Standard.
Sicherheit von Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen - Kreissägemaschinen - Teil 3: Von oben schneidende Kappsägemaschinen und kombinierte Kapp- und Tischkreissägemaschinen
Dieses Dokument behandelt alle in Abschnitt 4 aufgeführten signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungs-situationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf von oben schneidende Kappsägemaschinen und kombinierte Kapp- und Tischkreissägemaschinen zutreffen im Folgenden als Maschinen bezeichnet die konstruiert sind zum Schneiden von Massivholz, Spanplatten, Faserplatten oder Sperrholz, sowie diesen Werkstoffen, wenn sie mit Kunststoffkanten versehen und/oder kunststoff-/aluminium-beschichtet sind, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vom Hersteller vorgesehen Bedingungen einschließlich vernünftigerweise vorhersehbarer Fehlanwendung verwendet werden.
ANMERKUNG 1 Hinsichtlich den Definitionen für von oben schneidende Kappsägemaschinen und kombinierte Kapp- und Tischkreissägemaschinen siehe 3.2.2, 3.2.3 und 3.2.4 und hinsichtlich der Definition für verschiebbare Maschinen siehe 3.2.8.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für:
- Maschinen zum Querschneiden von Rundholz;
- handgeführte motorbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge oder irgendwelchen Einrichtungen, die ihre Verwendung in einer anderen Weise, d. h. in einer Stationäreinrichtung, ermöglichen;
ANMERKUNG 2 Handgeführte motorbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge und Sägetische, die eine Gesamtheit mit einem handgeführten motorbetriebenen Elektrowerkzeug bilden, sind in EN 60745 1:2009 zusammen mit EN 60745 2-5:2010 behandelt.
- transportable Maschinen, die auf ein Gestell oder auf einen Tisch, der einem Gestell ähnlich ist, aufgesetzt sind und die vorgesehen sind, während des Betriebs stationär verwendet zu werden und die von Hand von einer Person angehoben werden können, d.h. mit einer Masse ≤ 25 kg.
ANMERKUNG 3 Transportable motorbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge sind durch die Anforderungen in EN 61029 1:2009 zusammen mit EN 61029-2-11:2009 erfasst.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht auf von oben schneidende Kappsägemaschinen und kombinierte Kapp- und Tischkreissägemaschinen anwendbar, die vor dem Datum seiner Veröffentlichung als Europäische Norm hergestellt wurden.

Le présent document traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations et événements dangereux significatifs, tels qu’énumérés à l’Article 4, qui sont applicables aux tronçonneuses à coupe descendante et tronçonneuses mixtes à coupe descendante et à scies circulaires à table de menuisier, ci-après désignées "machines", conçues pour la coupe de bois massif, de panneaux de particules, de panneaux de fibres, de contreplaqué ainsi que ces matériaux lorsque leurs surfaces ou leurs chants sont recouverts de matière plastique et/ou de plastique/alliages légers stratifiés, lorsqu’elles sont utilisées comme prévu et dans les conditions prévues par le fabricant, incluant une mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisible.
NOTE 1 Pour la définition des tronçonneuses à coupe descendante et des tronçonneuses mixtes à coupe descendante et à scies circulaires à table de menuisier, voir 3.2.2, 3.2.3 et 3.2.4, et pour la définition de machine transportable, voir 3.2.8.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux :
- machines conçues pour le tronçonnage de grumes ;
- machines-outils à moteur électrique portatives, ou toute adaptation permettant leur utilisation de manière différente, c'est-à-dire fixées sur un établi ;
NOTE 2 Les machines-outils à moteur électrique portatives et les scies à table de menuisier destinées à former un ensemble intégré avec une machine-outil à moteur électrique portative sont couvertes par l'EN 60745-1:2009 conjointement avec l'EN 60745-2-5:2010.
- machines transportables montées sur un établi ou une table similaire à un établi, qui sont conçues pour réaliser un travail à poste fixe, qui peuvent être soulevées à la main par une seule personne, c'est-à-dire d'une masse maximale ≤ 25 kg.
NOTE 3 Les outils électriques à moteur transportables sont couverts par les prescriptions de l'EN 61029-1:2009, conjointement avec l'EN 61029-2-9:2009 et l'EN 61029-2-11:2009.
Le présent document n’est pas applicable aux tronçonneuses à coupe descendante et tronçonneuses mixtes à coupe descendante et à scies circulaires à table de menuisier qui ont été fabriquées avant sa date de publication en tant que Norme européenne.

Ta dokument obravnava vsa večja tveganja, nevarne razmere in dogodke iz točke 4, ki se nanašajo na krožne žage za prečni rez od zgoraj navzdol in kombinirane žage za prečni rez z delovno mizo, v nadaljnjem besedilu »stroji«, ki so namenjene rezanju polnega lesa, ivernih plošč, vlaknenih plošč, vezanih plošč in teh materialov, prevlečenih s plastično obrobo in/ali plastjo iz plastike/lahkih zlitin, ter se uporabljajo v skladu z namenom in pod pogoji, ki jih je predvidel proizvajalec, vključno z razumno predvideno nepravilno uporabo.
OPOMBA 1 Za definicije za krožne žage za prečni rez od zgoraj navzdol in kombinirane žage za prečni rez z delovno mizo glej 3.2, 3.3 in 3.4, za definicijo premestljivega stroja pa 3.8.
Ta dokument se ne uporablja za:
– stroje za prečno rezanje hlodov;
– ročna motorna električna orodja ali kakršne koli prilagoditve, ki omogočajo uporabo na drugačen način, tj. namestitev na delovno mizo;
