Furniture - Domestic and kitchen storage units and kitchen-worktops - Safety requirements and test methods
This European Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for all types of kitchen and bathroom storage units and domestic storage furniture and their components.
It does not apply to non-domestic storage, office storage, industrial storage, catering equipment, retail storage and industrial storage lockers.
It does not apply to units covered by EN 71 1, Safety of toys - Part 1: Mechanical and physical properties and EN 60065, Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus - Safety requirements (IEC 60065).
It does not include requirements for the resistance to ageing, degradation, flammability and electrical safety.
Safety that is dependent upon the structure of the building is not included, e.g. the strength of wall hanging units includes only the cabinet and its components including wall attachment devices. The wall and the wall attachments are not included.
Annex A (normative) contains additional test methods.
Annex B (informative) contains a guide to testing of units and components according to this document.
Annex C (informative) contains an example of loading of wall hanging units.
Annex D (informative) contains a method for calculation of vertical and horizontal acting forces.
Möbel - Wohn- und Küchenbehältnismöbel und Küchenarbeitsplatten - Sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren
Diese Europäische Norm legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für alle Arten von Behältnismöbeln für Küchen, Bäder und den Wohnbereich sowie ihre Bauteile fest.
Sie gilt nicht für Behältnismöbel für den Nicht-Wohnbereich, Behältnismöbel für Büros, industrielle Behältnismöbel, Einrichtungen für Großküchen, Behältnismöbel für den Einzelhandel und verschließbare Behältnismöbel für den Industriebereich.
Sie gilt nicht für Behältnismöbel, die durch die Normen EN 71-1, Sicherheit von Spielzeug — Teil 1: Mechanische und physikalische Eigenschaften und EN 60065, Audio-, Video- und ähnliche elektronische Geräte — Sicherheitsanforderungen (IEC 60065) erfasst sind.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Alterungsbeständigkeit, Verwitterung, Entflammbarkeit und elektrische Sicherheit.
Sicherheit, die von der Gebäudekonstruktion abhängig ist, ist nicht einbezogen, z. B. schließt die Festigkeit von wandbefestigten Hängebehältnismöbeln nur das Behältnismöbel und seine Bauteile, einschließlich Schrankaufhänger, ein. Die Wand selbst und die wandseitigen Befestigungsmittel sind nicht einbezogen.
Anhang A (normativ) enthält zusätzliche Prüfverfahren.
Anhang B (informativ) enthält einen Leitfaden für die Prüfung von Behältnismöbeln und Bauteilen nach diesem Dokument.
Anhang C (informativ) enthält ein Beispiel für die Beladung von wandbefestigten Hängebehältnismöbeln.
Anhang D (informativ) enthält ein Berechnungsverfahren für vertikal und horizontal wirkende Kräfte.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les méthodes d’essai applicables à tous les types de meubles de rangement de cuisine, de salle de bain, y compris leurs composants, à usage domestique.
Elle ne s’applique pas aux meubles de rangement à usage collectif, aux meubles de rangement de bureau, aux meubles de rangement à usage industriel, aux équipements de restauration, ni aux armoires de rangement à usage commercial ou industriel.
Elle ne s'applique pas aux éléments couverts par l’EN 71-1, Sécurité des jouets – Partie 1 : propriétés mécaniques et physiques, ni à ceux couverts par l’EN 60065, Appareils audio, vidéo et appareils électroniques analogues – Exigences de sécurité. (IEC 60065).
La sécurité qui dépend de la structure du bâtiment n'est pas prise en compte. Par exemple, la résistance des meubles accrochés au mur inclut seulement le meuble et ses composants, y compris les dispositifs de fixations au mur. Elle ne concerne pas le mur et les fixations murales.
La présente Norme ne comporte pas d’exigence relative à la résistance au vieillissement, à la dégradation, à l’inflammabilité, ni à la sécurité électrique.
L’Annexe A (normative) fournit des méthodes d’essai supplémentaires.
L’Annexe B (informative) fournit des lignes directrices pour réaliser les essais conformément au présent document.

Pohištvo - Shranjevalne enote za domačo uporabo in kuhinje ter kuhinjske delovne plošče - Varnostne zahteve in preskusne metode
Ta evropski standard določa varnostne zahteve in preskusne metode za vse vrste shranjevalnih enot za kuhinje in kopalnice ter shranjevalnega pohištva za domačo uporabo in njihove sestavne dele.
Ne uporablja se za shranjevalno pohištvo za javno rabo, shranjevalno pohištvo za pisarne, industrijsko shranjevalno pohištvo, opremo za pripravo in dostavo hrane, opremo trgovskih prostorov ter za omarice na zaklep.
Ne uporablja se za enote, ki jih obravnavata standarda EN 71-1, Varnost igrač – 1. del: Mehanske in fizikalne lastnosti, ter EN 60065, Avdio, video in podobni elektronski aparati – Varnostne zahteve (IEC 60065).
Ne vključuje zahtev za odpornost proti staranju, razpadu, vnetljivosti in električno varnost.
Varnost, odvisna od konstrukcije stavbe, ni vključena, npr. trdnost visečih enot na steni vključuje samo omarice in njihove sestavne dele, vključno s stenskimi pritrditvenimi napravami. Stene in stenski pritrditveni elementi niso vključeni.
Dodatek A (normativni) vsebuje dodatne preskusne metode.
