Furniture - Classification for properties for furniture surfaces

This document specifies a system for the classification of the resistance to:
—   Dry heat;
—   Wet heat;
—   Cold liquids;
—   Abrasion;
—   Scratching;
—   Microscratching.
The classification applies to foils, laminates, melamine faced boards, pigmented and transparent lacquers. The classification for the resistance to cold liquids also applies to oils and waxes.
The following classification does not apply to leather surfaces.

Möbel - Klassifizierung von Möbeloberflächen

Dieses Dokument legt ein System fest zur Klassifizierung der Beständigkeit gegen
—   trockene Hitze,
—   feuchte Hitze,
—   kalte Flüssigkeiten,
—   Abrieb,
—   Kratzspuren,
—   Mikrokratzer.
Die Klassifizierung gilt für Folien, Laminat, und melaminbeschichtete Platten sowie für pigmentierte und transparente Lacke. Die Klassifizierung der Beständigkeit gegen kalte Flüssigkeiten gilt auch für Öle und Wachse.
Die folgende Klassifizierung gilt nicht für Lederoberflächen.

Le présent document spécifie un système de classification de la résistance :
- à la chaleur sèche ;
- à la chaleur humide ;
- aux liquides froids ;
- à l’abrasion ;
- aux rayures ;
- aux microrayures.
La classification s’applique aux films, stratifiés, panneaux mélaminés, laques pigmentées ou
transparentes. La classification concernant la résistance aux liquides froids s’applique également aux
huiles et cires.
La classification suivante ne s’applique pas aux surfaces en cuir.

Pohištvo - Razvrstitev glede na lastnosti površine pohištva

Ta tehnična specifikacija opredeljuje sistem za razvrstitev odpornosti proti:
–   suhi toploti,
–   vlažni toploti,
–   hladnim tekočinam,
–   obrabi,
–   razenju,
–   mikrorazenju.
Razvrstitev velja za folije, laminate, melaminske plošče, barvne in prozorne lake. Razvrstitev odpornosti proti hladnim tekočinam velja tudi za olja in voske.
Naslednja razvrstitev se ne uporablja za usnjene površine.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 7 February 2022 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
