UV-Devices for the treatment of aerosol A.1 Scope This annex is applicable to UV devices for the treatment of aerosol in the extract air. These are components of the extract air devices of kitchens and other food-processing businesses that in type and configuration are intended for commercial use. NOTE The system is based on the effect of short-wave UV radiation (photolysis) and the chemical reaction of the ozone (O3) in the air oxygen (O2) with the organic particles (oxidation).
