Metallic materials - Tube ring hydraulic pressure test

This European Standard specifies the ring hydraulic pressure test for metallic tubes. It is generally applied to tubes with an outside diameter generally greater than 120 mm and outside diameter to thickness ratio not less than 20. The objective of this test is to ascertain the value of the hoop stress required to produce a specified total circumferential (hoop) strain.

In dieser Europäischen Norm ist der hydraulische Ringaufweitversuch fu(r Rohre aus metallischen Werkstoffen mit einem Rohraußendurchmesser im Regelfall gro(ßer 120 mm und einem Verha(ltnis von Außendurchmesser zu Wanddicke von mindestens 20 festgelegt. Diese Pru(fung dient zur Bestimmung der Umfangsspannung, die erforderlich ist, um eine bestimmte Umfangsgesamtdehnung eines Ringes hervorzurufen.

La présente norme européenne prescrit l'essai d'expansion hydraulique sur anneau destiné aux tubes métalliques. Il s'applique généralement aux tubes dont le diamètre extérieur est généralement supérieur ` 120mm et dont le rapport diamètre extérieur/épaisseur est supérieur ou égal ` 20. L'objectif de cet essai est de déterminer la valeur de la contrainte circonférentielle requise pour produire une déformation circonférentielle totale spécifiée.
