Respiratory protective devices - Power assisted filtering devices incorporating full face masks, half masks or quarter masks - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for power assisted respiratory protective devices which incorporate a full face mask, half mask or a quarter mask together with gas, particle or combined filter(s) used as respiratory protective devices. It does not cover devices designed for use in circumstances where there is or might be an oxygen deficiency (concentration in oxygen less than 17 % by volume). Also, it does not cover respiratory protective devices designed for escape purposes.  Laboratory tests and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf legt Mindestanforderungen für Gebläsefiltergeräte als Atemschutz fest, die eine Vollmaske, Halbmaske oder Viertelmaske zusammen mit (einem) Gas-, Partikel- oder Kombinationsfilter(n) enthalten. Sie gilt nicht für Geräte, die für die Verwendung bei möglichem Sauerstoff- Mangel (Sauerstoff-Gehalt weniger als 17 Vol.-%) vorgesehen sind. Sie gilt auch nicht für Atemschutzgeräte für Fluchtzwecke. Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques minimales exigées desappareils filtrants à ventilation assistée avec masques complets, demi-masques ou quarts de masques et filtre(s) antigaz, à particules ou combiné(s), utilisés comme appareils de protection respiratoire. Elle ne s'applique pas aux appareils destinés à êtres utilisés dans des circonstances où il y a ou il peut y avoir un défaut d'oxygène (concentration en oxygène inférieure à 17% en volume). Elle ne s'applique pas non plus aux appareils de protection respiratoire destinés à l'évacuation.
